I am so excited to share my Rocket Ship SVG Alphabet, Letter and Number Set. It’s one of those projects that makes me so wish I had a Cricut when the boys were little. I would have created themed parties, decorated their bedrooms, and made so many cards and gifts, this cute little alphabet and number set has so many possibilities.
Whether it’s decorating nurseries, children’s bedrooms or making gifts, kiddies love Space and Rocket Ships. So what better theme for a Childs bedroom or birthday party? Or indeed decorating space themed classrooms.

Cutting Your Rocket Ship SVG Alphabet And Number
When you send your Rocket Ship Alphabet Free SVG/PNG files to your Cricut to cut, ensure you use your brayer to roll the paper, vinyl or card to adhere to the mat. Movement will affect the cut.
If your cutting mat looses its stickiness this will affect the quality of cut. Also make sure your mat is in good condition, this is vital for cutting intricate cuts.
Additionally, set the material and cut pressure correctly to match whatever materials you’re cutting to guarantee a clean cut. If you have any problems cutting check the mat, pressure and material settings as generally this is where the problem will lie.

How To Make Your Rocket Ship Cake Topper In Cricut Design Space
Start by uploading you chosen rocket number or letter and the single rocket SVG to Cricut design space, you can now add any words or names.
Type your word in capitals and weld to your number, I chose TODAY and welded this onto the bottom by putting into position, right click to select all and click weld in the bottom right corner.
Now select your rocket shape and size exactly to fit on the rocket on your number, this will create the glittery background to the rocket. Once sized click contour and remove all contours.
Next duplicate the number, with the duplicate click contour and remove all contours. You can now create an offset of the solid background, then create another offset so you have 2, one larger that the other. It’s also an option to cut additional stars to add to the design.
Materials To Cut Your Cake Topper In
You can choose any material or colours you wish, however I would recommend using a solid card for layer 5 to give your cake topper strength, I also feel it works to back your space rocket in glitter card to give it an added dimension. I used the following card and colours in my design.
- Top Layer, Cricut metallic poster board
- 2 ( Small Rocket) glitter card-stock)
- 3 Background layer, pale blue, American Card Stock
- 4 Offset layer 1, turquoise, American Card Stock
- 5 Offset layer 2, silver glitter card-stock
Building Your Cake Topper
Glue the rocket ship silhouette the the back of the top layer, then put sticky pads on the back to attach to the layer behind. Go on to use sticky pads to attach all of the layers. If you are adding stars add these before glueing the straw the the back of your cake topper.
