Adding The Dinosaur And Castle Easter Egg Holder SVG Template Files To Cricut Design Space.
Firstly click upload at the bottom of the left hand bar and find your chosen Easter Cream Egg Holder File. You now have the option to remove the background, however I have done this for you.
The first option you will see is the image below, choose moderately complex. You will then be taken to the select top page, this is where you can remove any background.
Now choose to save your Cream Egg holder as a print and cut or cut file, before uploading to design space. This can be changed in Cricut Design Space. Don’t worry if the image looks grainy, as soon as it’s in design space it will be fine.
Sizing Your Cut Files
Both the Dinosaur and Castle cut file need to be around 10- 10.5 inches high, I use my egg was a guide to ensure the egg hole was smaller than the actual egg.
Cutting Your Cut Files
When you send your Easter Cut File to your Cricut to cut, ensure you use your brayer to roll the paper, vinyl or card to adhere to the mat. Movement will affect the cut. If your cutting mat looses its stickiness this will affect the quality of cut. Also make sure your mat is in good condition, it is vital for cutting intricate cuts.
Additionally, make sure you set the material and cut pressure correctly to match whatever Cricut materials you’re cutting to get a clean cut. If you have any problems cutting check the mat, pressure and material settings as generally this is where the problem will lie.
How To Assemble Your Dinosaur Or Castle Egg Holders
Once weeded fold each side over a ruler to create a fold. Alternatively you could score with your Cricut during cutting. You need to allow enough space for the base, but also not too big as the egg needs to fit snug in the holder.
Now place the egg inside of the holder whilst also glueing around the top edges the secure the egg holder. Make sure when doing this that the front and back match up perfectly.
You can now glue any edges together to finish securing the egg into place.
Please do pop over to Instagram, and give me a follow and if you make a project tag me! I love seeing everyone else’s makes and chatting crafting. I could do that all day!
