Free Valentines Gnome Mickey SVG For Cricut And Glowforge

I was going to start this post by saying this is my last project with my valentines gnome, however I have one more up my sleeve. However do check out my valentines gnome alphabet if you haven’t seen that. But todays project sees an introduction to Mickey and my Free Valentines Gnome Mickey SVG, Png which is perfect Cricut and Glowforge.

I have cut this cute Valentines file on both machines to give you an idea of how well this gorgeous project cuts.

It’s a file that can be used for so many different valentines projects, cards, Cricut Mugs, cushions, wooden art, the list is endless. I think thats the beauty of having a Glowforge and Cricut Maker 3, they work beautifully together and give so much creative flexibility.

How To Make My Valentines Gnome Mickey Card

What Do I Need To Make My Valentines Gnome Mickey With My Free SVG On Cricut Or Glowforge

• A Glowforge Printer
• Clear Acrylic ( Or Black Glittery Acrylic), (Laser Printer Compatible)
• Cricut Corrugated Card Stock
• Sticky Pads 
• Tape Runner
• 8×8 Blank Cards ( I use craft UK from Amazon)
• Glue Gun
• Glitter Spray Paint
• Black Spray Paint ( I got my Montana Gold from Graff City and its half the price)

• Cricut Maker, to cut out of Cardstock or Glitter Card
• Weeding Tools 
• Brayer

How To Upload My File To Glowforge?

If you are cutting on Glowforge, make sure you upload the SVG file, you are unable to cut PNG files, ( However can engrave PNG files.) Simple click the + sign in the top bar, choose upload and select your Mickey Gnome Valentines file. Now drag the file to the correct size and click on the image to select cut

You can now select the correct materials for whatever machine you are using, and send your project to cut or print.

Once cut or printed, weed your Mickey, remove the protective backing from the back only and to get a glittery effect spray the back of your cut Mickey with silver glitter spray. Allow this to dry before spraying with black spray paint.

Once the paint is dry you can remove the front protective layer, I have found if you are using spray paint this is the pest option to keep the glossy look on the front of the acrylic.

Now mount your Mickey of red corrugated card, and then onto a layer of black to create a contrast. Of course you can use any colours you wish, however I really wanted to create a retro Mickey feel to my card.
