Those rainy days are rolling in, and yes whilst we mourn the long summer days. There’s also a lot to celebrate in autumn. Chunky sweaters, crunchy leaves and the sound of the rain beating against the window as you rewatch favourite movies with a glass of wine or cup of steaming coffee. My latest Cricut Rainy Day Alphabet And Numbers Set celebrates the weather, those windy and rainy days. Also check out my colouring pages, which are perfect for easy rainy day crafts.
Glorious days of wrapping up warm, wearing wellingtons and splashing in puddles. When the boys were little they adored walking in the rain and splashing in puddles, like Joe still says to this day, “its only water”.

How To Make Your Own Alphabet For Rainy Day Crafts With Cricut?
As this is a rainy day, weather focused project I searched for rain, rainbow, boots, sunshine, wind and umbrella to decorate my Cricut alphabet. I wanted the set to be perfect for all wind and rainy weather crafts and cards to celebrate autumn winter/ weather.
If you want to build your own alphabet? Build gradually and go with what works for you building one element at a time and welding as you go along. Although you must remember to ensure all images are connected if cutting as a paper cut.
I suggest sticking to just a few elements to keep the projects uncomplicated, this gives the alphabet a more uniform feel.

Cutting Your Alphabet
When you send your weather alphabet letters to your Cricut machine to cut ensure you use your brayer to roll the paper, vinyl or card to the mat. If the paper is not fully rolled to attach to your cutting mat there may be movement which will affect the cut. Also if your cutting mat looses its stickiness this will also affect the cut.
Additionally, ensure you set the material and cut pressure correctly to match whatever Cricut materials you’re cutting to get a clean cut.
Once the cut has finished, discard the outer area of the paper/ vinyl this pulls away easily.
Now carefully lift a corner of each letter with a pair of tweezers, the letters will then lift away in one piece. Use the weeding tool to remove any areas that need gently weeding and removing.
