Can This Alphabet Be Used On All Cricut Machines?
Yes, I have cut a selection of letters from my summer alphabet on the Cricut Joy and Maker with a thin and medium card stock and vinyl. The set has been tested several times for cut quality, in fact at one stage it became my nemesis! But I have hopefully ironed out the problems. The beach ball drove me potty, however I got there in the end.
Cutting Your Alphabet
When you send your summer alphabet letters to your Cricut to cut, do ensure you use your brayer to roll the paper, vinyl or card to the matt. If the paper is not fully rolled to attach there may be movement which will effect the cut. Also I have recently found that if your cutting mat looses its stickiness this will also affect the cut.
Also make sure you set the material and cut pressure correctly to match whatever Cricut materials you’re cutting to get a clean cut. And if you’re using a Cricut Joy and want to use vinyl, use smart vinyl, it’s so much easier to use as its ready to go and you don’t need a mat.
Once the cut has finished, discard the outer area of the paper/ vinyl this pulls away easily.
Then lift a corner of each letter with a pair of tweezers, the letters will then lift away in one piece. Use the weeding tool to remove any areas that need gently weeding and removing.
