As we are celebrating the Year of the Rabbit, today we are sharing our Free Chinese New Year, Year of the Rabbit Alphabet And Numbers. This super cute alphabet and number set is simply perfect for celebrating the season. But first a bit about the loyal but confident rabbit.
The Rabbit is the 4th Animal in the 12 year cycle of the Chinese Zodiac. Legend has it the Rabbit was a proud animal, confident is he’s own speed. So much so, he often made fun of how slow his neighbour the Ox was. Also check out our Year of the Rabbit Coloring Alphabet and layered Rabbit for making Year of the Rabbit Masks.
When the Jade Emperor decreed the zodiac order would be determined by the order the animals arrived at his party. The Rabbit was up early and set off at daybreak. However when he arrived, there was no sign of the other animals.
Thinking that he would obviously be first, he decided to settle at the side and have a nap. Alas when he awoke, three other animals had already arrived the Rat, Ox and Tiger. Thus the Rabbit became the 4th in the Chinese Zodiac.
Typical traits of people born in the sign of the Rabbit are to be loyal and faithful but shrewd, responsible and elegant. Also see our Year of the Ox and Year of the Tiger Alphabets.
