Afternoon tea is a great British pastime, some of us prefer it with fizz, cakes and tiny sandwiches but one thing it must always have is tea. Thus I have created a Teapot And Tea Cup SVG Alphabet full of cute afternoon tea themed letters and numbers. And we all know someone who is a totally tea mad right? Ok, I have to admit at this stage I am more of a coffee kinda gal, I love a peppermint or fruit tea, but that’s where my tea love ends, clearly I need to start masterminding a coffee alphabet.
Having said that I do love a good afternoon tea, whether its at home or in a beautiful venue there is something wonderful about pretty cake stands, fizz and mini sandwiches. Gosh this is what happens when I start thinking about food I go totally off track.

Tips For Making An Afternoon Tea Cake Topper In Design Space
Choose the letters you need and upload to design space, then duplicate each letter and use the contour tool (bottom right corner) to remove all contours from the image.
Now position together in the layout you want, select all and click group.
Next you can add offset layouts around the whole image to create a background for your cake topper.
Cutting Your Teapot And Tea Cup SVG Alphabet
When you send your Teapot And Tea Cup SVG/PNG files to your Cricut to cut, ensure you use your brayer to roll the paper, vinyl or card to adhere to the mat. Movement will affect the cut. Remember you are cutting several layers so organise your colours before you send the project to cut.
If your cutting mat looses its stickiness this will affect the quality of cut. Also make sure your mat is in good condition, this is vital for cutting intricate cuts.
Additionally, set the material and cut pressure correctly to match whatever materials you’re cutting to guarantee a clean cut. If you have any problems cutting check the mat, pressure and material settings as generally this is where the problem will lie.
Building Your Cake Topper
Start by placing the back offset layer face up, and sticking foam pads to the back of your layer 2.
Now flip the layer over and position onto the back layer, making sure it lines up.
Keep going layer by layer until you’ve finished, I find it handy to keep Design Space open so I can follow my design.
Lastly use a hot glue gun to attach a straw to the back.
