Easy Pastry Recipe For Pies

You Will Need

250g plain flour

115g butter

3 tbs water

A pinch of salt.

How To Make Pastry

Sift the plain flour into a bowl

Dice the butter into small chunks add to the flour

Rub the butter into the flour until you get a breadcrumb consistency

Stir in the pinch of salt

Now add the water and mix with a food blender to a firm dough consistency.

Flour your surface and knead the dough

Now wrap in cling film whist you prepare your pie

How To Freeze Dough?

To freeze roll out and place on grease proof paper

Now roll the paper ensuring you fold an inch edge over you first turn to prevent the pastry sticking together.

Wrap with cling film or foil and freeze.

Defrost thoroughly before using.

A quick and easy pastry recipe for pies.

Ingredients

I will be making some pastry this afternoon for a leftover roast dinner pie. Yum Yum! I never bother freezing when I make too much, I always make jam tarts. hehehe
