Deck the hall with boughs of holly, Fa la la la la la la la la, doesn’t that just fill you will joy? So of course I had to create a Free Deck The Halls SVG Layered File for creating Christmas decorations, cards and scrapbooking layouts.
Originally named Deck the Hall. The music of this iconic carol was created in Wales in the sixteenth century. The music is also inspired by Nos Galan, a 1794 Welsh carol, wrote to celebrate New Years’ Eve.
If you want to see me create my projects, follow me on Tik Tok and Instagram.
However the English version of the carol was written by Thomas Oliphant a Scottish musician in 1862. That is the version we know and love. Also check out our Twas The Night Before Christmas Layered File.

The Words To Deck The Halls By Thomas Oliphant
Deck the hall with boughs of holly, Fa la la la la la la la la.
‘Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Don we now our gay apparel, Fa la la la la la la la la. Troll the ancient Yuletide carol, Fa la la la la la la la la.
See the blazing Yule before us, Fa la la la la la la la la.
Strike the harp and join the chorus, Fa la la la la la la la la.
Follow me in merry measure, Fa la la la la la la la la. While I tell of Yuletide treasure, Fa la la la la la la la la.
Fast away the old year passes, Fa la la la la la la la la.
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses, Fa la la la la la la la la.
Sing we joyous all together,
Fa la la la la la la la la. Heedless of the wind and weather, Fa la la la la la la la la.
