Can This Alphabet Be Used On All Cricut Machines?

Yes, I have cut a selection of letters from this baking alphabet on the Cricut Joy and Maker with a thin and medium card stock and vinyl. In terms of cutting quality and ease this is my favourite alphabet so far.

Cutting Your Alphabet

When you send the baking alphabet project to your Cricut to cut ensure you use your brayer to roll the paper, vinyl or card to the matt. If the paper is not fully rolled to attach there may be movement which will effect the cut.

Also make sure you set your material and cut pressure correctly to match whatever material you’re cutting to get a clean cut.

If you’re using a Cricut Joy, and want to use vinyl, use smart vinyl, its so much easier to use.

Once the cut has finished, discard the outer area of the paper/ vinyl this pulls away easily.

Now lift a corner of each letter with a pair of tweezers, the letters will then lift away in one piece. Use the weeding tool to remove any areas that need gently weeding and removing.

If You Are Using Your Project With Iron On Vinyl?

Size your letters according to the project you are designing. Once the size is right in design space and send to cut.

When sending your Cricut Alphabet Letters to cut, ensure you mirror the images.

Place your iron on vinyl on the cutting matt shiny side down. Thus you can’t see the colour of the vinyl on the top. (The shiny side is the part you will use to apply your heat press to to protect the vinyl.)

Weed your Cricut baking letters design ensuring you have got all the little bits out, once ironed on it is too late to remove them.

Heat press the surface you intend to iron onto to heat up.

Put your bake off letters design into place and set the heat press to the appropriate heat for the fabric and material as per the heat guide. Then flip the project and press for 15 seconds. Check the heat guide for a full breakdown of materials and products.
