Beaches Resorts, Just A Hop And A Jump From Disney

Now it’s not secret I have been wondering where to say to chill out for a few days after our great Disney Adventure. I have spent hours studying hotels, and some very beautiful ones too. But nothing quite gelled or inspired me to book. You see I had a vision in my head of the perfect chill out hotel for us and I hadn’t quite found it.

It’s so funny how sometimes your children can answer your questions without realising it. Joe for some reason has started listening to Bob Marley recently. He loves Three Little Birds, one night last week he was singing along to it, and it struck me.

The Iron Bridge and Tar Tunnel

Last week we got the opportunity to visit the incredible Ironbridge. Before last week I had never heard of Ironbridge, I must have been living in a bubble as not only is it such a beautiful part of the country, Ironbridge is a World Heritage Site which has a collection of 10 amazing museums. We could only fit in 4 on our trip but cant wait to go back and see the rest.

P1080993We started at the Museum of The Gorge which is a great place to start as it has a miniature model of the area and lots of information about the industrial revolution and how this impacted the area, the short film ensured everything we saw after that point make sense, especially for the boys who haven’t got the patience to stand and read all the literature in the museums.

Things I love about being a Mum

I thought of the title first. Then I sat here for ages trying to pinpoint what I love about being a Mum. And I mean ages, then I started to delete it because I couldn’t think what to write, but I felt guilty; there is no way I could delete a post I have started about what I love about being a Mum. How disloyal to the boys. But the truth is, I couldn’t list it, because I love everything, and I mean everything.

  • Well the first thing has to be my children, obvious I know. But without these mega frustratingly wonderful boys, I would have this amazing job.
  • The fact that even though I seem to have become embarrassing in public, they still tell me they love me every day. It makes me feel so special every time they say it.
  • They have made me a braver person, you would never have got me tree trekking or climbing before they came along. But you will try almost any activity to support your children won’t you? (If you are reading this boys, I draw the line a gator land, this is NOT negotiable.  The thought of it makes me feel physically sick. And what if one of you got eaten whilst we were there? Yes you never thought of that did you)
