How To Make A Mickey Shaker Cake Topper
Choose you letter to make your personalised Mickey Mouse themed cake topper. Start by right clicking and duplicating your letter. These will be your 1st and 2nd layers.
Now click on one of the letters and click contour in the bottom right hand corner, you can now click on some of the contours for the 2nd layer.
Now upload the Mickey shape to design space and size this over the largest open Mickey on your letter and duplicate it. This will become your two acetate layers.
You can now click on the offset tool on the top bar to create your first offset, you will need to create 2 offsets.
You Will Need To Send The Following Layers To Cut
- 1 back contour layer, hide all contours on this layer ( I used Kraft board for this layer)
- 1 contour layer slightly larger than the main letter ( metallic card stock)
- 2 main letter layers ( one with some of the contours hidden) (white card stock and glitter card stock)
- 2 Mickey acetate layers. (acetate)
Building Your Cake Topper
Start by positioning the glitter sprinkles on the inside of a layer of acetate, using a hot glue gun to glue around the edge and placing to top layer on top.
This will create a shaker pocket to add to your cake topper, however do make sure there are no gaps for the glitter to get out.
Start by using sticky pads to attach the bottom 3 layers. You can now use a glue gun to attach your Mickey shaker pocket.
Glue the top layer to finish the cake topper. Before flipping over and glueing a straw to the back. You now have a super cute Mickey shaker cake topper.
