Remembrance Sunday is around the corner and as I hunted around for my diamanté poppy it occurred to me that I had never created a Poppy cut file? Which of course was something I wanted to remedy straight away thus created my Free Layered Poppy SVG Cut Files. I love the way they have come out, so delicate and pretty, with a floral layer in glitter, but finished off with mini black rhinestones to represent the poppy seeds.
It’s such an important day, and one not to forget, as as such I wanted to make my own little contribution. As I give my files away for free, all I ask, is if you download the file, I would be so happy if you would give a donation next time you see a poppy seller?
This poppy can be used a single top layer for remembrance scrapbook layouts, or as layered files for wall art or window decals.

Cutting Your Poppy SVG As A Layered Cut File
Also organise your coloured layers before hand, thus you can feed in order and get the colours right. for this projects I used plain red card-stock for the back layer and glitter card stock for the middle layer, with a paler shade of red card-stock for the top layer.
If your cutting mat looses its stickiness this will affect the quality of cut. Also make sure your mat is in good condition, this is vital for cutting intricate cuts.
Additionally, set the material and cut pressure correctly to match whatever materials you’re cutting to guarantee a clean cut. If you have any problems cutting check the mat, pressure and material settings as generally this is where the problem will lie.
Building Your Layered Poppy
Lay out and line up all of the poppy layers and use a glue stick on the back of layers 1 and 2 to attach all 3 of the files together. Once they are all attached use black stick on rhinestones for the poppy seed details.
