Slimming World Homemade Italian Tomato Sauce Recipe For Pasta.
Ingredients For Homemade Slimming World Tomato Sauce
- 1 tin of plum tomatoes
- Half a spoon full of ready chopped garlic or 2 chopped cloves of garlic
- A glug of balsamic vinegar ( Depends on how much you like)
- Tsp of mixed herbs.
- Salt and pepper to season.
Method
Put the plum tomatoes in a pan and mash with a potato masher. You can buy chopped tomatoes, however whole tomatoes are a little thicker in consistency. Also I think it was Jamie Oliver who once said there are more vitamins in whole tomatoes!
Add the garlic, herbs and balsamic vinegar and bring to a boil stirring until the mixture is well blended.
Now season with salt and pepper and allow to cook down for 5-10 minutes whilst simmering.
Lastly add any veg or meat you wish to create you Italian meal and save with pasta.

Yes you can make a big batch of homemade slimming world tomato sauce by multiplying the ingredients. Once cooked allow to cool and freeze in plastic tubs for up to 3 months.
