They are super easy to make and the perfect recipe to make with children and teens. Family friendly recipes are always a winner in our house, especially as the boys are getting older. Additionally those easy family recipes are the ones they are more inclined to make alone.

- 170g Butter
- 170g Golden Syrup
- 100g Bag Of Milk Chocolate Chips
- 170g Brown Sugar
- 330g Jumbo Rolled Oats
Method
- Firstly pre heat the oven to 130°
- Line a baking tin with grease proof paper.
- Melt the butter into a pan on a medium heat so it melts slowly.
- Next add the brown sugar, mixing until thoroughly dissolved.
- Once the butter has dissolved add the golden syrup and keep stirring until the mixture’s thoroughly blended.
- Add the rolled oats and mix until the mixture is blended.
- Lastly stir in the chocolate chips and mix well.
- Transfer the mixture into your lined baking tin and put into the oven to bake for 40 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 5-10 minuets before removing from the tin and slicing.
How Long Will My Chocolate Chip Flapjack Recipe Keep For?
In theory your Chocolate Chip Flapjacks will last in an airtight container for 7-10 days. However in this house no food ever lasts that long.

What shelf should I put them on , I put them on the middle 40 minutes later still don’t look done
Hi Tracey they don’t look done, they sort of set afterwards, they need to be quite soft otherwise when they cool they are too hard! I use the middle shelf too !
