A quick and easy recipe for Low syn meringue.
These are great for me as I can have these for a dessert on slimming world. And syn free meringues are such a great alternative to the sugar packed version.
Perfect for baking up before friends visit, they make a great dinner party dessert if served up with low fat mousse and strawberries as an healthier version of Eton Mess.
For Slimming World meringue
Low syn meringue
- 2 Eggs Whites
- 90 grams Sweetener
- Whisk the egg until light and fluffyAdd sugar in a spoonful at a time until it stands in stiff peaks.Spoon onto baking tray and put in a pre heated over at 130 degrees for 20 minutes.Allow to cool for 15 minutesThey are not a sweet as the real deal but with strawberries and fat free yoghurt they are fab and low syn!

Update, Slimming World have brought out some new recommendations regarding the syn value of sweeteners which means for 1 tbsp or more per serving they recommend counting 0.5 Syn per tbsp.
