I am sharing one pic today, I took this in London on Wednesday as we wandered through the city. There is nothing like meandering through an amazing city. And London is my fave. So many people take it for granted. I think because we have moved away from Essex where London was so accessible I appreciate visiting even more when I visit.
Pre children we used to spend many a Sunday people watching in Covent Garden, and I miss that so much. However, I am so lucky to get to visit almost every month thus having the best of both worlds.
I hadn’t realised phone boxes have become wifi points, far more relevant to life today #MySundayPhoto
I don’t think it is all of them Fiona, but what a great idea it is if you are traveling from outside the UK and charges are high x
Lovely shot. London is such a beautiful city. I appreciate it more now that I don’t have to drive through it each day! 🙂
Ha ha, yes a good point. I used to spends weeks at a time staying in London when I was working on Sackville Street. And we ofter went and spent Sunday in London I so miss that x
Ohh! That phonebox is a bit clever….I haven’t seen one with Wi-Fi before. x
I how cool Kim x
I just love that wifi telephone box. I really miss London now after working there for years and years. Just wandering around the streets is so amazing isn’t it?
Same here Tas, although you and I could always squeeze in a day trip one day x
when i visit the UK i often need to use the telephone, i’m getting fed up with the world and it’s mother thinking all we need is wifi and cash dispensers….maybe i’m getting old
ha ha its a changing world, there are still some working phone boxes I am sure. Why dont you get a UK sim card for your phone that would be the cheapest way to do it x
I think your photo shows how times have changed! WiFi from a phone box! Wouldn’t have happened in the olden days! People watching in Covent Garden….I remember being able to do such things as well.
I know it really does, but great to see. Ah yes I miss those leisurely days although I have to say with the boys getting older, I do get to enjoy more of those days now x
I think I need to bring the boys on a trip to London ? Great shot! ? #mysundayphoto
Ah you do, its such a wonderful city to wander around and thank you x
Fab photo! It’s great that you still get to visit London regularly, even though you live a long way away. I probably get there once or twice a year and I always enjoy just seeing the sights, which are so different from home.
Yes the same here Sarah, I live in a field which we love so London is a complete contrast x
I love London. Its great that we get to share time together too. xx
Yes it is, I love our little trips, I so miss just popping into London yet don’t think I would want to change where I live x
I love London, there is always something different to take photos of
Thank you for linking up
Ye there is, I just wish I could go once a week, what a treat that would be, to then come home to our little field x
“When a man is tired of London he is tired of life” Samuel Johnson got it spot on though he should have said “person”! London never ceases to amaze, inspire and delight and I love your little capture so perfectly representing old and new London.
Oh yes he did, what an amazing saying x
That’s an interesting photo, I haven’t seen one of those sort of phone boxes before!
I know they are so cool aren’t they? x
Was this taken on Northumberland Avenue! I love just walking around the city! Especially this are is gorgeous
John I actually have no idea where I took it apart from somewhere near Leicester Square, I was a bit in the zone x
I’m the same. I love London to visit – there’s always so much to see.
