My Weekly Round Up, A Crazy Week

Share

How is it the weekend? It seems like 2 minutes ago that I was sat here typing my last round-up, the bit in-between still feels like a crazy blur. This week I achieved nothing, apart from having fun. Which is all good right? I mean sometimes you just need to break the mould for a while and that is exactly what I have been doing.

Its been odd being away from the boys for 4 nights, ok I know have done that before, but because I have packed so much into the last week it felt like I have been away for so much longer. So what have I been up to this week?

Meeting Friends In London

We started our week by heading down to London to meet with friends. Of all the days to pick to meet friends in London we choose the day of yet another Brexit march! However we managed to avoid the crowds and spent an afternoon wandering Mayfair and Soho, stopping for drinks and eating food. You know one of those afternoons that are chilled, you laugh loads, probably drink too much wine and just enjoy being with friends.

Ice Bar In London

We did manage to check out the Ice Bar on Heddon Street, if you haven’t been check it out. It’s currently themed as London Land and its fabulous with a taxi and many other London related sculptures. It’s crazy that if you turned the temperature up it would just be an empty room.

Time With Chris In London

Sunday Chris and I spent the day exploring the South Bank. We walked miles, checked out the Tate Modern, stopped in little courtyards for glasses of wine and just soaked in the atmosphere of London on a sunny day and then head to the Kings Road for drinks and dinner.

We also spent a little time checking out street art, omg have you ever been to Leake Street? I love how there are lots of spaces popping up in London for young people to be creative and express themselves. Leake Street really has to be seen to be believed, it’s full of street art, which totally blew my mind.

Catching Up With Donna

I spend a couple of days with my lovely pal Donna and her crazy family. We did have an event to attend, but decided our time would be better spent working and sharing good blogging practice (we probably do this every day over face time) however we took the chance to cook food, work on a little food photography and some posts for Cruising With Kids. And may also have drunk a little pink fizz too! We have been friends for so long we just get into a comfortable groove of working.

The Cricut Crafternoon Tea

Wednesday I spent the day crafting with some incredible crafters and the Cricut Team, I can’t tell you how much I love days like this. Crafting has always been my hobby, I am one of those people with a creative mind. Everything I look at, I try to work out how I can make it myself! And my Cricut enable me to do that, however what I love is that you don’t need to be creative to use a Cricut. I spent the day showing people how Cricut works, inspiring others to be creative.

I was in my element, it was also incredible to get ideas of others too. And came home full of ideas of things I want to make and create.

In fact I created this cushion yesterday, this was a design out of the Cricut Design Space, so all I needed to do was choose my vinyl, send it to cut, weed the design and iron it onto my cushion. OMG how amazing is it? And zero creativity needed.

Coming Home To My Boys

As much I have loved every second of the last week, its incredible to get back home and see my little crazy family. Life here is never dull, there is always something going on! And I was launched right back into the renovation planning, which seems to be coming along a little. Hopefully we will get to the stage where we are actually doing some work rather than planning!

The Week Ahead

It should be a lot quieter, I am going into my old college to talk about blogging and how I got started. And also have plans to meet with the lovely Jenny for a working lunch!

Have a great week whatever you are up to!

  1. You have had such an exciting week, no wonder the time went so fast while you were away in London having fun. You even make your working sound fun with friends and food. I love the sound of that Ice Bar but I bet it’s cold in there. I love your cushion cover too, how clever, but you make it sound so easy. It’s always nice to get home again though isn’t, especially when you are going back to your family.

  9. That is officially a packed week. Good job it was all fun. So many friends and sights to see. Seems a lot of towns have more areas that are becoming well known for their graffiti art. The Cricut day sounds amazing. Wonderful to bounce ideas around as well as demo-ing. I love your cushion. The elephant looks amazing and I’m not sure it is totally devoid of creativity. Good luck with your talk at college, inspiring the next generation. #wotw
