It may have been early but being the start of the holidays the airport was packed. So heading to a lounge where we were guaranteed a seat, breakfast, WI-FI for the boys and somewhere to charge their devices, is the perfect way to start a trip.

And yes it was early but I may have had a glass of fizz to get over my check in dramas!

The lounge was comfortable and there was enough space for us to chill out. And as Joe to watched the planes come in and out and Jack to log into the WI-FI all was calm.

There was a buffet offering unlimited fresh fruit, pastries, speciality coffee, tea and juice. However you could also order 1 hot breakfast per person such as beans on toast, bacon sandwich. And also get alcoholic drinks from the bar, all included in the price.

Despite the airport being busy and the lounge being full, once we had our seat we felt relaxed and looked after. When you are traveling with teens an airport lounge is essential to keep everyone calm and happy. Or is that just my family? And when you consider what you spend at an airport in drinks, snacks and top up Wi-Fi the lounge is great value.

It was easy to track our flight on the boards in the lounge, allowing us to go down to the gate just in time for boarding.

Insert a week of blissful Caribbean sun here, morning classes on the sea, cocktails on the beach and uninterrupted family time. Ah holiday blues are awful aren’t they?

Our return to the airport was quick and easy

We telephoned thorough as we cleared customs and our car was waiting as we left the airport and made our way to the meeting point. The service was professional, efficient and friendly. Just want you want after an 8 hour flight.
