Delicious Cranberry Gin Fizz Cocktail With A Sweet Foam Top

Share

This cocktail is a cocktail of gin and pink lovers’ dreams and tastes pretty amazing too! This Delicious Cranberry Gin Fizz With A Sweet Foam Top is perfect for parties, as let’s face it, it looks so pretty and is relatively easy to make; you need to prep your eggs before and blend at the last minute and voila, the perfect pink cocktail.

I am not sure where this one fits in terms of seasons, it’s a great summer cocktail due to the light fruity taste. Yet would look good at a winter party with its almost snow-like top and gorgeous dried fruit garnish that works all year round.

Ingredients

  • 50ml of Cranes Cranberry Gin
  • 250 ml pink Prosecco

Cranes Cranberry Gin

Method

First, measure the Cranes Cranberry Gin into a cocktail shaker, break up two raspberries into the gin and add ice. Now shake for several minutes to cool the gin through and crush the raspberries.

Add the cranberry gin to a cocktail mixer with ice and shake to cool

Next, separate the egg whites from the yolk and discard the yolk. ( If you are prepping to make cocktails for later now, add the egg whites to a smoothie maker flask and put them to one side, you will blend as you mix)

Split the egg yolks from the white and add a spoonful of sugar to the white

Add a spoonful of sugar to the eggs and blend with the smoothie maker. This will mix the egg whites and sugar foam enough to pour but not enough for meringue consistency. If you get to thick peaks, it’s a bit so much you want soft but fluffy.

Now pour the cooled gin into your glass through a sieve to keep back the ice and top up with Prosecco leaving a little space at the top of the glass for the foam.

Add Prosecco to the gin and raspberry mix

You can add the sweet foam to the cocktail, yet prepare for the fizz.

Blend the egg white and sugar so it thickens but not too much and add to your cocktail

Once it has settled, add infused dried orange slices and enjoy your delicious Cranberry Gin Fizz Cocktail of pink cocktail dreams.

A Little About Cranes Cranberry Gin

It’s a delicious flavoured pink gin that isn’t overpowering and sweet. It has a subtle cranberry infusion that you can taste but is not over-sweet or overpowering. This is definitely how I like my gin, infused rather than over-flavoured. It is perfect for creating cocktails such as this Cranberry Gin Fizz.

Why Use Dried Fruit In Cocktails?

This is a new thing to me, too. However, I’ve been trying out Nim’s fruit infusions for a couple of weeks now and am totally in love with them.

Especially when I fancy a G&T and can’t be bothered to cut a slice of orange or lime? Or know you won’t use the whole orange, so one piece seems a waste? Or you don’t have any oranges in the fruit bowl?

Nim’s fruit infusions come in various flavours, lime, orange, lemon, cucumber, and more go check them out. The beauty of dried fruit is its holds all that flavour in, and as it hits the cocktail, the flavour infuses, and the taste is fantastic.

Please note I was gifted the gin and dried fruit infusions for the purpose of this post but all opinions are my own.
