I feel like I have been cheated, all these years not knowing about Biscuiteers! Sounds extreme doesn’t it? But when I received this adorable little Easter biscuit parcel of perfectness this week my heart melted.
They are the height of squidgy, beautiful cuteness and wrapped up in a little tin of expertly crafted biscuits that you honestly don’t know whether to eat or frame. They are THAT beautiful. All those years of sending flowers when I could have been sending biscuits that can be chosen to suit an occasion or personality, and even though they look great unlike flowers, you can eat them! Win, win.
Don’t get me wrong I love flowers, I always have a vase of two on the go at home. But sometimes the gift bouquets that cost a fortune can be a bit of a disappointment. Not always, but sometimes!
Last year I received some flowers from a local florist and they were so awful they look like a funeral posy; I actually rang to ask if they had got mixed up. And no, they confirmed that the dated lump of greenery and flowers cut short and shoved in oasis was not a funeral display. I was gob smacked. Chris has been advised to avoid that florist in the future.
But wow biscuits all painted and decorated in pretty colours to look like spring animals and Easter eggs. I could not stop looking at them.
Joe and I decided to have a little afternoon tea and enjoy our Easter treats. With cucumber and ham, sandwiches, coffee and a huge frothy chocolate milkshake. Our little biscuits all laid out looking beautiful. Joe bypassed my lovingly cut triangle sandwiches and went straight for a fluffy looking lamb that he proceeded to dip in his milkshake. When I rolled my eyes he claimed “I am 11, that’s what you do when you are 11”.
I put a few aside as I knew my friend was visiting with her children later in the day. And they were thrilled. I let them think for a second or two I might have baked them ha ha. But there is no way I could create such art on a biscuit.
The thing I love about Bicuiteers is that not only do they look great, they taste divine. The biscuits are moist and delicious and the icing is not too sweet. I am not generally a biscuit fan as I hate hard to bite biscuits but these chocolate works of art with their soft brownie like texture went down very well.
I also have a lovely little treat Biscuiteers are offering one of my lovely readers a gorgeous tin of biscuits, to frame or eat! Just enter via the rafflecopter below and the best of luck xx
