It’s been a week of celebrating in the Christie house. We haven’t done loads, things have been pretty quiet by our standards. But here is what we have been up to this week.
Our 25th Wedding Anniversary.
This week we have been married 25 years, omg I still can’t believe it when I say it. We have had the most amazing life together with 2 wonderful boys, a bear baby, 7 house moves ( I think we are finally settled, but its been fun finding out) and so many incredible memories.
We spent the whole of last weekend going out for dinner, having country walks and chilling together. Chris bought me a beautiful gift and flowers and we spent our anniversary evening having dinner at one of our favourite restaurants with our two favourite people in the world.
The boys are growing up so quickly. It’s great to get their undivided attention every now and then. I didn’t take many photos but did get a few from our walk.
We now have our anniversary trip in September to look forwards to, when we get to spend a week chilling in the sun at Ikos Oceania, which is our favourite Ikos resort.
A New CorkScrew
I probably need to get out more but I worked on a collaboration with Cruisinart and Wayfair over on Instagram this week. And as part of the collaboration I was sent an electric corkscrew.
I have never been able to open wine so this is blooming amazing. Its a pretty cool gadget, I have got to 46 years of age struggling with wine bottles, so yes I am a tad giddy about it.
The Building Work
The weather has been hit and miss, as has our builders turning up, half of the render is on and so far I am mega disappointed, we asked for white, they said yes but to me it looks white with a hint of grey and it cost a bloody fortune. Apparently it will look white when the sunshines, no words!
Until they finish we can’t do a thing so its a case of waiting for now. Its not all their fault the weather hasn’t helped but I think the grey tint to the walls has added to my frustration. Chris assures me as it sets it goes whiter, I really hope it does.
Donna and I have been invited to the inaugural cruise of NCL Encore at the end of October. We are both seriously excited about it as the ship looks incredible for cruising families that love activities and onboard adventure. And NCL ships are pretty spectacular, omg the Ocean Blue seafood restaurant was to die for on the Norwegian Bliss!!!! so hope to get to try that again. I can’t wait to share more about this wonderful ship. I mean come on look at that picture? It’s so exciting.
We have a quiet week ahead, Jack needs to sort his bedroom so no doubt that will be a big job! But the next couple of weeks are going to be all about planning and organising. A bit like the quiet before the storm as the months ahead are looking pretty crazy.
Have an amazing weekend whatever you have planed.
