Country Walks And Not Knowing What To Wear

Share

This weather has been glorious hasn’t it? And then just like that it’s gone again, leaving summer wardrobes once again redundant and waiting for sunnier days.

I don’t know about you but I never know what to wear at the moment. One minute it is roasting and the washing is happily floating on the line. Then its freezing cold and I am layering up sweaters to keep warm. That is until the 8k flexwarm jacket came into my life.

Living in the country you need a certain amount of certainty about weather conditions. Especially when you are setting off for a long country walk. Instead you are second guessing if it will rain; will it get windy, cold? You can’t just nip into a shop or hop on a bus when you get cold such things just don’t exist in these parts.

And you can’t live in the country and not embrace country living. Especially at this time of year when everything is starting to come back to life again! The lambs are being born, trees are getting their leaves back and blossom is growing on the trees. Spring certainly seems more apparent here than in cities, it’s a relief that the barren land winter brings is starting to wake up, the chance of snow lessons with every passing day, as the chance of sun increases.

Last night when we set off on our nightly walk, the sun was shining but it was cloudy! Within 10 minutes it was blowing a gale and drizzling. Not what you expect after a weekend of sunbathing. How different can one week be in out rubbish British weather system?

However I have recently been trying out the 8k Flexwarm jacket which is a genius idea.

It is perfect for English spring/autumn days. You know those days the weather man is making it up as he goes along and is totally winging it, just like the last few days! It’s such a clever invention, why has no one ever done this before?

The Flexwarm® technology offers a heating element that is so thin (0.5mm) it can be printed directly onto fabric.

Which is then layered directly onto the garment thus enabling the 8K-Heated Jacket to be ultra-lightweight, durable and washable and easy to charge with a removable chargeable battery.

Review of Flexwarm heated jakcet extraordinarychaos.com

My thoughts on the 8k Flexwarm jacket are?

It’s perfect for spring and autumn, the perfect transitional jacket for country walks when you can quite gage what the weather will do. It warms ups quickly and stays changed for ages. I have worn the jacket for around 2 hours so far and have not recharged it yet. Recharging is simple as the battery is removal and comes with a USB charger!

The jacket is lightweight and stylish. It is not too warm that you can’t wear it on a balmy day or evening walk, yet should it get a little nippy you just switch on the heating elements and choose where on the body you want to heat up via the side buttons or the app.

  30. I don’t drive, for health reasons. Twice a week I cycle the dogs to agility which is held in an indoor riding school, which has no insulation and some vicious winds whistling through. In the middle of the winter at 10pm it is excrutiatingly cold, and then I have to cycle home. I’d love one of these jackets, I’ve already got heated gloves but when the cold seems to seep into my bones there is a limit as to what they can do.
