A Postcard From Dubai Day 4

29th August 2016 by SarahJChristie 5 Comments

Today was our last day in glorious Dubai.

We will be sad to leave it has been a fantastic week. We had experienced lots of new and fab things. Another part of the world ticked of our list. Will we return? I think we will, I love the luxury of Dubai.

And for our last day we visited Atlantis on the Palm and spent the day Aquaventure Water Park on the Palm, which is huge.  We didn’t get to do many of the rides as poor Jack had a huge nosebleed halfway through the day. Fortunately we had spent some time in the Aquarium, on the beach and had nearly 4 trips around the lazy river which they loved.

The on-site paramedic team were amazing they were so helpful and ensured he was comfortable and hydrated till it was over. It seemed to go on forever. I know this is a far from ideal situation, but I can guarantee that if you need medical assistance at Atlantis is wonderful.  And thank you to the lovely Simon for being so caring.

Once he was ok we decided it was better to get showered and get him a snack and drink and ensure his sugar levels were ok, which thankfully they were.

We finished of our day at Kaleidoscope Buffet Restaurant, and there is nothing better to buck a teen up than food is there? Again the food and service in Dubai didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with so much choice. Atlantis is the most wonderful hotel on such a grand scale.

Tomorrow morning we are up early and off home to get back to normal.

School life and routine. But it has certainly been an adventure.Thank you Dubai you have been wonderful, and thank you to all the people that have been involved in our trip.

We have met and dealt with some wonderful kind people.  It has been a tough couple of weeks and sometimes a kind word and bit of understanding makes all the difference. It can really be the measure of a person so thank you xx
