Win A Family Trip To The Christmas Markets In Stuttgart

When I think of Christmas Markets, I think of Germany, or is it just me?

It conjures up visions of the Nutcracker and wooden huts selling festive food and drinks. Warm snuggly coats and bobble hats. Of course there are German Markets popping up all over now, and they are all lovely. All beautiful replicas of the original German Markets, great places to visit with your family. Perfect to get into the festive spirit, and keep that festive feeling alive when you have older children.

Lets face it? The sparkle can dull slightly as the kids get older. I hear people saying all the time Christmas is not the same any more. And that just needn’t be the case. It’s a time to make new traditions, maybe swap visits to Santa with visits to Christmas markets, full of the hustle and bustle that teens crave. Show them the world and celebrate Christmas traditions in other regions.

For many, many years we have arranged a lodge break just before Christmas, it had become a tradition and something we had all looked forward too. An enclosed environment with Christmas carols and Santa that just oozed that festive feeling. But something happened last year, we realised that sadly we had outgrown it. The boys had exhausted every activity and it all seemed a bit small.

But this is not a time to feel sad, it is a time to embrace the fact that we can now start planning festive trips abroad instead. Change our traditions; make them better, more exciting. Make them fit our growing family.

Next week I am off the Germany, arghhh

I am off the Stuttgart to check out the Christmas Markets. To share what they have to offer, see what all the fuss is about. The Christie boys are green with envy. Especially Joe, who has been coveting a trip to the V8 hotel and the Mercedes-Benz Museum for sometime now. I have assured him we will visit next year, he can see the markets for himself and check out the car museums. And with flights available to Stuttgart Airport from several airports in the UK it is an easy place to travel to.

And even better, Stuttgart Airport is inviting a family of four to spend two days and one night in the Christmassy city of Stuttgart, including accommodation with breakfast and flights.

The lucky winning family will fly from London to Stuttgart Airport and visit Stuttgart’s Christmas market. The trip will take place from 17 – 18 December 2016. The dates are fixed, but if the winning family cannot make it, they are welcome to pass it on to friends.  What a fabulous early Christmas present! The perfect way to keep up those festive family traditions, and keep the magic of Christmas alive. Click here to enter and good luck.  But hurry the competition closes at midnight on Sunday 11 December 2016.
