Our Very Exciting Half Term Q Hop

When we started on our great Q adventure, as Q Hotel Family ambassadors, we had no idea what was ahead of us.  How Q Hotels would take us into their family. And that is exactly what Q Hotels feels like, one big family.  Next week we are off on another Q Hop, Our Very Exciting Half Term Q Hop. This will be the longest trip so far, and as you can imagine we are mega excited.

If you haven’t tried a Q hotel hop before, I would recommend it.  It is a great way to see all the wonderful countryside and attractions the UK has to offer.  And a perfect way to spend a half time break in the UK. The great thing about Q Hotels is they do the work for you. They offer fantastic suggestions of where to take the family on the Q Hotels website, so you can plan before your visit.

We decided early on in the journey that we would follow the advice of Q Hotels, and they have not let us down yet. Check out my Q Map to see some of the wonderful things we have seen and done on this exciting adventure.

Our first stop is the beautiful Forest Pines, and I know the Christie boys are excited about our first stop, it has an incredible golf club, and they are hug fans of driving ranges. The choice of dining options looks fantastic too, with lots to do in the surrounding area, including Lincoln Castle this is the perfect place to start

Next we are stopping at Cambridge Belfry, the pool looks great here, I just know the boys will love it, and the rooms look beautiful. And local attractions include Woburn Safari Park and The Imperial War Museum Duxford, both places I know the boys would love to visit. There is so much in the area but I think one of these two may be a winner.

Our final Hotel of the week is Hellidon Lakes Golf and Spa Hotel and arghhh Bicester Village is not far from here, I may take Chris on a little diversion. With attractions like Silverstone Circuit and Blenheim Palace we will be spoilt for choice. However the grounds look breathtaking, as are the spa and golf facilities, so we may just take long family walks and enjoy the surroundings.

For the finale of our Q Hop we arrive at Belton Wood Q Lodges in Grantham. Last time we visited a Q Lodges we felt a little nervous, we had no idea what to expect. But this time is oh so different. We absolutely adored Slaley Hall, it was incredible, so luxurious. All the added extras, such as the use of a golf buggy for our stay, luxury fittings, quad biking, and a wonderful cocktail making lesson, made it a location we will most definitely revisit. We just loved Slaley Hall.

We are staying for 3 nights, so will get the opportunity to enjoy some of the incredible activities Q Lodges has to offer. Including, archery, segways, quad biking, tennis, mountain biking, golf, spa and clay pigeon shooting. And after a day enjoying the activities we can nip up to the main house to the Claret Jug or Stanton’s Brasserie for a glass of wine a spot of dinner.

Part of the joy of staying in a lodge is dining in the lodge, having a bit of chilled family time over a meal. For us Q Lodges offers’ so much, not over crowded, quality activities, luxury accommodation in beautiful surroundings.
