Today we were up bright and early for our golf lesson with incredibly patient Steve. I must say after an hours instruction I now know where I was going wrong. Of course I will never be as good as the over-confident Christie boys but I held my own and thoroughly enjoyed the lesson.
We have had a little drive around the vast estate today in our golf buggy and the scenery is breathtaking. Slaley Hall is one of those places that I am sure looks just stunning in every season but the colours at the moment are just breathtaking.
It really is wonderful here, our lodge is the perfect home from home and has everything you could possible need, and the standard is just exceptional. The is such a huge selection of activities which for us makes Q Lodges the perfect family break.
We are just off the Hadrian’s Wall and a Roman town, then we are booked in for a meal in the Claret Jug up at the main house with a spot of cocktail making too, I am so excited. In fact so is Joe who is hoping to have a Shirley Temple ha ha.
