Crafting, Yoga And Instagram Videos

Hello and just like that another week has passed and fortunately the rain has mostly stayed away. Although we did have an awful dense fog descend on Monday and it’s only lifted today. It’s so odd when when you can barely see out of the windows and driving has been quite scary.

But fog aside, this is what I have been up to this week.

If you want to see me create my projects, follow me on Tik Tok and Instagram.

Creating Colouring Pages On My Cricut Maker

This week I tried the drawing feature on my Cricut Maker. It was not something I had ever been inspired to use before, however wanted to create something for Cruising With Kids and omg, I love it. Who knew creating colouring pages would be so satisfying. Its actually quite addictive.

Falling In Love with Instagram Again.

I felt so fatigued by the fact you have to work so hard on instagram, always wondering what to say or do and then I watched a series of instagram videos on the feed by the lovely Helen at Not About The Kids which has really inspired me.

Extraordinary Chaos Instagram

It made me realise I needed to do something more creative and in line with me, and also reflect Donna and I more over on CWC, so we have started creating mini videos. Nothing super polished just us loving what we are doing, especially over on Cruising With Kids.

We see all these amazing places and cruise ships and share pictures, however it’s sometimes better to do a mini tour, and you know what? I am falling in love with it all over again. But trust me its been a long time coming.

Elemis Superfood Skincare

This week QVC sent me the Elemis Superfood Skincare Set to try out which is on offer until Sunday for £49.50! Sorry shameless plug! But I am a huge fan of Elemis and these products did not disappoint!

They feel great on my skin and smell amazing. I love that I can swap around within the Elemis ranges, as I do like to have a change every now and then. This set is a winner so far, I am especially loving the foaming face wash and serum.

Enjoying Yoga

Managing to do Yoga 3 mornings this week feels a real achievement, and I can’t believe how much better I feel for it? It’s such a wonderful way to start the day, it’s an added bonus I can do it from home. And is fast becoming part of my routine on my work at home days which I really look forward to.

The Week Ahead

This weekend we plan to take it easy, with a long country walk to the pub and a roast dinner. Having chill days after a manic couple of months is just wonderful. It’s also Chris’s birthday so we have an afternoon of lunching and drinking wine planned for the next week.

Monday I am off to see We Will Rock You arghhhhh I am so so excited. I have been a Queen fan ever since Live Aid, how amazing were they that night? Also the Bohemian Rhapsody movie was just incredible, such an insight into Freddie Mercury’s life and mind.

The show is not about Queen, but a future world without musical instruments and how a handful of rock rebels, the Bohemians, fight for freedom, individuality and the rebirth of the age of rock. It’s showing at the Palace theatre until the 8th Feb and I am so quite giddy about seeing it.

This year is going to be an epic one in Manchester Theatre. In fact there is so much to see that I created a Manchester Theatre Guide to put all my favourites in one place to make choosing a little easier.

But honestly? I dont know how anyone would choose between that little lot.

So that’s me for a week, I am off to take Toby for a nice walk and pour a glass of wine. Enjoy you week, hope it’s a good one for you.

Disclaimer, I received the Elemis Products for review purposes, however am a huge fan of Elemis. And as I will be reviewing We Will Rock You the ticket is gifted.

  1. I enjoy Instagram so much more now I do whatever I want on it, I realised that for me it doesn’t bring any value to my blog so I decided to stop worrying. It’s good to hear you are getting creative again on Instagram your images are lovely. I hope Chris has a great birthday and you enjoy your chilled weekend x

  2. Your Instagram feed is lovely – both your feed and the CWC one. Good idea to alternate with short videos. I have to confess I put very little effort into Instagram these days but I’m no longer bothered about trying to grow my social media presence and it’s nice not to have that pressure anymore. Love those colouring pages. Hope you enjoy your walk and roast dinner and going to see We Will Rock You x #WotW

  3. Those colouring pages look fab! I keep reading about Cricut Maker’s. They sound like fantastic things.
I go through phases with Instagram, loving then hating it. I always feel a bit meh about it at this time of year when it’s grey and gloomy out. Your photos and videos from it look brilliant.
Have a fab time at We Will Rock You! I am quite jealous. I am a big Queen fan. x

  4. |I do get a little tired of Instagram sometimes. When I first joined I really thought the whole point of it was to post your photo’s instantly..i.e. see something, snap and share. But it seems that people take it far too seriously for me. I do post in spurts though. Enjoy your theatre trip, you really do sound excited. I have another ballet to go to in a couple of weeks and I’m excited for that.

  5. I think everybody has had the ‘instagram slump’ and I’m glad you are getting over it, you are so creative with everything that you do. I think you deserve a nice chilled weekend full of good food and nice wine, and hope Chris has a lovely birthday.
