- Cutting Mat
- Weeding Tool
- Brayer
- Tweezers
- Scraper
- Colour heavy paper, or light card stock.
How To Make Your Own Cricut Nursery Letters For Baby Gifts With Cricut?
As this is an Baby project I searched for baby, duck, stroller, stars and clouds to decorate my Cricut alphabet .
I used Soiree Lettering which is a my favourite for creating there is a huge choice of styles, however I prefer the open font for cuts and creating.
The Images I Used For These Cricut Nursery Numbers And Letters Are….
Don’t be put off by layered images in Cricut Design Space as you simply weld them together to create one solid nursery alphabet image. However if there is an element of that image you don’t want, ungroup first.
Follow the stages below to resize and group your images to create your Cricut Baby Alphabet Letters And Numbers until you’re happy with the final look, then right click and press weld to join the project together.
If you notice any mistakes on your letters then click undo immediately, this is the only way to undo weld in Cricut Design Space. There isn’t an undo button once you have completed another action.
Watch for the images filling in if the overlap, if this does happen, click undo immediately and move the elements so they don’t overlap.
Can This Baby Alphabet Be Used On All Cricut Machines?
Yes, I have cut a selection of letters on the Cricut Joy and Maker with a thin and medium card stock. They would also cut well on vinyl, in fact I feel intricate images generally cut better on vinyl.
Cutting The Nursery Alphabet
When you send the project to your Cricut to cut ensure you use your brayer to roll the paper, vinyl or card to the matt.
Also make sure you set your material and cut pressure correctly to match whatever material you’re cutting.
If you are using a Cricut Joy, and want to use vinyl, use smart vinyl. I’m a little obsessed with smart vinyl!
Once the cut has finished, discard the outer area of the paper/ vinyl this pulls away easily.
Now lift a corner or each letter with tweezers, the letter will then lift away in one piece. Use the weeding tool to remove any areas that need gently weeding and removing.

Hi Christy you are so welcome, yes all the PNGs will upload without backgrounds ready to use and for my older projects with backgrounds I think you can trace them? I have never used a Silhouette but a friend has told me this is possible, hope that helps x

I have just discovered your beautiful designs.
Unfortunately I don’t own an up to date cricut so I don’t know if I can use them on them. I know I did have access to the design space. However, I was wondering if I could use them on my brother scan and cut?
