Downham is the first village you hit as you drive from Pendle Hill to Clitheroe and a lovely place to go for a walk and grab an ice cream, the quintessential village with a babbling brook, cafe and village green.

The Cabin At Barley Is The Last Ice Cream Shop/ Cafe On The Pendle Side Of Pendle Hill
The Cabin is not only an ice cream shop but also a cafe that sits in a wonderful location. It’s a great place to take the kids, dog or go alone to grab an ice cream and sit by the river bank. They also offer afternoon tea with fizz take outs to enjoy as a picnic in the countryside and great food in the cafe. Top tip go early on a Sunday Morning in the Summer its a wonderful place to enjoy and coffee bacon roll and read the paper.

A new ice cream cabin nestled at the foot of Pendle, right near the stairs. Which is the perfect place to head to after a Pendle Hill Climb. However, if the weather is bad check the Facebook page to check they are open. We can’t wait to check the Cauldron out!
This gorgeous ice cream parlour is also connected to a farm park ( Which will be re opening soon) However for now you can visit just for ice cream and hot drinks and the ice cream selection looks amazing.

Where To Get An Ice-Cream In Clitheroe
This is a coffee shop with a difference, selling delicious hand made chocolates, cakes and a selection of toppings and cones for your ice cream.

The ice cream selection here is huge and the gelato is delicious, its also a great place stop for a glass of wine on a sunny afternoon in Clitheroe, which is a gorgeous market town whilst the kids enjoy their ice cream.
