Hello and what a gorgeous Friday it is, I hope you have such glorious weather where you are too?
It looks like we are in for a week of so of sunshine and the heat-wave is back. Doesn’t it make everyone feel so much better?
Last weekend we took part in the Pendle Pub Walk
I took hardly any pictures, but had a wonderful day walking 10 miles between country pubs with great friends. Despite a few downpours the weather was quite kind to say the forecast was pretty horrific. It was in aid of our local hospice which is such a wonderful cause. I love the sense of community you feel on days like this.
And because we hadn’t walked enough we went for a country walk and enjoyed a family day on Father’s Day.
This week seem’s to have flown
It’s been a busy and fun week. We had a meeting at Joe’s new school with his pastoral head of year and we both came away feeling so excited. The new school is so positive. We have also been buying uniform, which all feels very exciting. I feel like we can rewrite history and bury the memories of the last year finally.
Although I still want answers and that I will not drop! I am trying to work out how to use those answers to stop other families going through this. I suppose in many ways I should just walk away, however the fact that almost everybody that goes through this does just that (and I fully understand why) means the issues of schools burying bullying incidents will continue. It needs to stop.
On Wednesday we went into Manchester for dinner at Harvey Nick’s (More on that next week, but omg it was soooo good) and to watch David Walliam’s, Awful Aunty at the Opera House. The play was a lovely heart-warming tale of friendship and loyalty and Dinner was amazing.
I love being near to Manchester there is so much to do and being a lover of the theatre its great to be able to nip in and out when there is something great showing.
My new swimming costume arrived, I might have mentioned last week I had a few on order. And this weeks suit is a shocking pink Miracle Suit from UK Swimwear. I have had a miracle suit before but I wasn’t keen on the colour so didn’t keep it long! I know epic mistake.
But this hot pink bandeau style is totally my style and colour and as it is tummy control swimwear it looks amazing on and even better feels great.
I can’t believe the difference having great fitting swimwear makes to your confidence. I am building up quite a collection but its great to have swimwear for all occasions. I.e. serious swimming, sunbathing and beach yoga. So roll on the holidays and long lazy beach days, I cannot wait!
I am so excited to also be able to offer 1 reader a chance to win £100 to spend at UK Swimwear on a swimsuit of their choice. Just enter via the rafflecopter and best of luck.
As Joe and I have a little time to indulge in creativity, he has been working on his photography again. Yesterday we went for a country walk and he took charge of the camera, which I have to say, felt a little odd.
We have also ordered a lens ball for him to use which is he is so excited about. I have to admit Charly took one on our trip to Puy Du Fou last week and it looked fab. So I am dying to have a go myself, we have big plans for the Caribbean sunsets.
The Week Ahead
This weekend is jam-packed with seeing family and friends and with the promise of sunshine it will be a fab weekend.
And next week I am off to see Legally Blonde at the Palace Theatre and pre theatre drinks with one of my closest friends. I haven’t seen the film but have an idea of the story so am so excited.
Have a wonderful weekend whatever you are up to and I hope the sun shines where you are?
