Hello and welcome to Monday Escapes, its been a busy week for me with an amazing trip to France to check out Puy Du Fou and wow. It was the most incredible trip where we got to see many shows that defied belief. You know when you think nothing can shock me any more, then it does? I left believing in magic. The whole place made me feel like a child, but Puy Du Fou had a class and style that makes it stand out from the rest.
Here are a few pics from our amazing trip and a review from our amazing hotel themed on the Tudor times.
This just about sums up my day yesterday! It was like being in a fairy tale, full of wonder and magic. Yes people magic is real @puydufou and if I feel like this as an almost grown up 🤣god only knows how kids feel. Yesterday was filled with shows that were all so unique each one blowing my mind in a different way for a different reason. I found myself asking how on earth did they do that? again and again but actually don’t want to know! @puydufou #hosted #puydufoufamilies
I have been home 2 days now and can’t get all I have seen at the weekend out of my mind. It was so magical and creative. All the details at @puydufou were just extraordinary so much thought has gone into the look and feel of the park without it feeling over styled. This is one place I have to visit with my family as when I am telling them all my stories of magic they are looking at me like I am mad 🤣 I think you need to see it to believe it x #PuyduFoufamilies #hosted
On Cruising with Kids we’ve been so busy that it’s called for a round-up of our recent adventures including a visit to France for Lisa to see MSC Cruises’ next new ship MSC Bellissima floated for the first time. Sarah has also written everything you need to know about cruising on Celebrity Silhouette and we’ve got not one but two great giveaways running: win a copy of the children’s travel book Great Voyages or a personalised travel wall print from My Icon Story.
On to Monday Escapes…
Monday Escapes is all about looking back at wonderful, happy travel memories and sharing them with others. It doesn’t have to be about a trip abroad or even be a written post. If you want to share your favourite snapshots – whether it’s a famous sight, scene, dramatic view or even a favourite family photo, then please feel free to link those up, too. Likewise, posts don’t have to be about holidays or weekends away, they can also include day trips, walks, attractions – any travel experience that you want to share.
We are also absolutely delighted to link up with Lonely Planet to offer our number one favourite blog post of the fortnight either a destination guide, or a title from the Lonely Planet Kids range. (See T&C’s below). Just another great reason to link up with Monday Escapes!
What’s in it for you?
The number one thing is you’ll be sharing your fantastic posts with a like-minded community and grabbing some travel inspiration for yourself. As a bonus you have a chance to have your blog post featured on all four of the hosts’ blogs each fortnight, introducing your blog to even more people.
Our favourite posts from last time
Here’s the posts that caught Karen’s and my eye last time:
Karen loved this post about Visiting the Merlet Animal Park from Picolo Explorer. You just have to go over and look at the pictures of the goats.
Karen also LOVED the stunning photos in Kerri’Anne from Life As Our Little Family’s review of her wigwam glamping trip at May Half Term.
I adored this post from Sharon at Exploring Our World. We all love a castle don’t we? And Sharon has gathered and awe inspiring collection in her post.
And if street art is your thing Bryna from Dotted Line Travels’ post on street art in Montreal is awe inspiring. She said she could spend all day looking at street art. There is something so raw but so beautiful about it.
Hop over to Claire’s blog, Tin Box Traveller, to find out whose post was out favourite.
So, how do you join in this time?
- Link up one post/photo – old or new using the InLinkz tool on Tin Box Traveller
- Please make sure to include the Monday Escapes badge at the bottom of the post, on your site, or a link back to the hosts.
- Posts are anything travel-related, and can include photos, reviews, days out, attractions and walks – at home or abroad
