Hello I hope you had a wonderful Easter Weekend?
It seemed to fly by didn’t it, although we were kept busy spending time with visiting friends and family meals? We had such a fun weekend. We laughed so much, walked for miles, visited Manchester, did a bit of cruise shopping and drank and ate far too much. But I hardly picked my camera up!
So this week has been all about catching up on my blog and over on Cruising With Kids. There has also been cause for a spot of detoxing and getting organised ready for another manic weekend. Some of our good friends are getting married today so we are looking forwards to a weekend of celebrations.
And then next week we have a little trip to Liverpool to see Disney On Ice, it’s quite a few years since I last saw it so can’t wait. You are never too old for Disney are you?
Lots of lovely memories with our good friends, we honestly haven’t stopped this weekend. But its been so much fun. Theresa and I went to school together and our children have grown up together. They are just like an extension of our family. Although getting together is so much easier now all the kids are older. We have made many many years of lovely memories together and love them visiting.
I am a week later here but last week I watched both the Real Full Monty’s and they were both amazing. What an incredible thing to do to raise awareness. Cancer touches all of our lives and people should never ever feel ashamed to talk about it.
I finished Eleanor hoorah. Ah what a fab book and yes you just want to give her a big hug by the end. I have just started reading Things I Want My Daughter To Know by Elizabeth Noble. And already a chapter in I know I am going to love the book. Very different to Eleanor but I think it’s going to be a page turner, it is so far!
I also love Monica’s post doing it for the “Gram” there is so much negativity about Instagram, but you know what sometimes its good to remember why we do it? And I have to admit I regularly scroll through my own feed looking at our memories. We need to remember why we blog, why we instagram and share memories. It’s not all about stats, followers/unfollowers. It’s about getting out there and living, and recording it along the way. I look back and thank my lucky stars I have those memories recorded.
I have been listening to cruise podcasts in preparation for my cruise on the Celebrity Solstice. And am getting so excited! It’s also been Andrew Lloyd Webbers 70th Birthday Celebrations this week so have been catching up on that on the radio where I could. I adore his music so have enjoyed a week of immersing myself in Cats, Evita, Phantom and more. Although I have to say; Rick Astley step away from Evita!
Omg I have been trying out the 6-Piece Head to Toe Overnight Radiance Skin Collection from QVC ahead of the collection launch on Tuesday 10th April.
The set included the brand NEW Pro-Collagen Overnight Matrix (30ml). Which is a clinically proven overnight treatment with ELEMIS’ Smart Technology created to target stress! I blooming well adore this cream; it really does smooth lines and is making such a huge difference as part of my skin care regime.
It also contains my go to cleanser, which I love, the Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser. Total Glow bronzing moisturiser and for a little pampering the Frangipani Bath & Shower Nectar, Frangipani Body Polish and Frangipani Body Balm these smell divine and are perfect for getting the body summer ready, because lets face it’s not far away?
The set will be under £60 which is less than half the price of the Night Matrix alone and such amazing value.
So yes, its been a really fun week, With the promise of another fab week ahead.
Have a lovely weekend whatever you are up too?
