My Weekly Round Up And Little Loves, And NCL Bliss

21st April 2018 by SarahJChristie 13 Comments

And as another whirlwind week has passed by! But hoorah the sun has come out and doesn’t everything feel so much better in the sunshine. Its been a crazy week around here, I feel like I have been constantly been cleaning and organising the house. And as soon as you get straight, teens appear! They drive me potty as they love to be in a constant state of chaos. I adore our boys but oh my, they really could be a little tidier.

Last weekend was a quiet one by the Christie standards; we spent Saturday night catching up with friends and then had a quiet Sunday with a walk and chilled out dinner.

The last couple of days have been crazy as I explored what the Norwegian Bliss has to offer families and can’t wait to share more over on Cruising With Kids and Mini Travellers. If you have never cruised before it will blow your mind. This was my 7th cruise yet still the facilities on Bliss blew me away. The ship is huge and packed with fun innovative things to do, beautiful bars and restaurants and oozes style and class, its understated elegance is just phenomenal.

Watched

The land disappear as I set sail out to sea for the first time in 5 years. As a family we adore cruising and have missed it so much. It really is the perfect way to travel and is something we will be doing a lot more of again. There is something so beautiful about looking out to sea and seeing only the horizon and if you are lucky the sunset. It gives you a feeling of total calm and tranquillity. I took this shot from my mini suite balcony I could honestly sit for hours and just enjoy the peace if there weren’t so many fun things to do.

Heard

So many facts and figures about this incredible ship, I can’t wait to share it all. This is my first cruise with NCL and it won’t be my last. I just know the boys will love it.

We also got to see Jersey Boys. I have always been a fan of The Four Seasons and was so excited to see the show and find out a little more about their story. The show was West End quality; the voices of the cast were just amazing. I just adore how cruising allows me to indulge in all of my favourite things in one holiday.

Wore

My new dress from JD Williams, which arrived just in time for my cruise, I love that it can be dressed up and down. And is perfect for the evening with a pair of wedge sandals. It’s not often I find a dress that is not far to long, I always have to get them shortened unless I get petite, however I loved this dress so much I took a risk and its the perfect length.

Weekly Round Up

Read

I have really got into “Things I Want My Daughters To Know” its a lovely book following how a family deals with grief. I am early into the book but I am feeling engaged with the characters and wanting to read more.

Made

Not very much, I really need to get back into trying new recipes, I feel like I haven’t tried anything new for such a long time. Maybe because life has been so manic?

This week promises to be a lot quieter, with lots of catching up to do and family time. Have a great weekend and lets hope this sun stays around a little longer.

I’d love to take a family cruise, although I fear that my youngest isn’t the age at the moment. I shall have to look up the book you are reading as it sounds interesting.
