OMG how was my word last week sunshine and now look at the weather and its March!
At first the snow was pretty, but then it went on and on, and on and on. It has totally dominated our week and all of our plans. So many things have been cancelled, and worse of all I haven’t made it to the gym.
The flip side is that all this snow is the thing of childhood dreams. Living on the top of a hill makes us vulnerable to extreme weather conditions; we always get heavier and deeper snow and fiercer wind. However it’s very rare we get completely cut off like we have been this weekend.
Joe totally embrace snowy days and spent every second he could in the snow, we even got Jack out for a snowy walk, although I have no photographic evidence of that walk as it was too cold to take my gloves off. I have so many photos from the rest of the week that I am going to share them in a post, more for my purpose and store all of those lovely memories.
Still battling on with Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, the book is a mystery, people have messaged and said keep with it, and I am starting to see that the tale is more complex than I first thought and can’t wait to find out what exactly is going on.
That Disney and Ice is on at Liverpool, Echo Arena and we are going arghhh I am so excited. We haven’t been for years but anyone that reads my blog knows how much I adore Disney? So have planned a trip with one of my closest friends, her daughter and Joe. The plan is dinner then Disney wooohooo. I can’t wait. If you are not far from Liverpool I have a competition to win a ticket for family of four.
Jumpers, jumpers and more jumpers it has been soooooo cold. My spring clothes have certainly not had an airing yet. But I have worn a new hairstyle and had my hair cut shorter, back into a bob again. I wasn’t growing my hair, I just never had time to get it cut and it grows so quickly. It felt such a relief to have it shaped back into a style I feel so much better.
A love heart cushion, I wanted something in a rose gold but think I ordered the wrong colour; it’s more of a metallic pink but its beautiful. I love that I can just create what is in my mind. There is also have a competition to win one if you fancy popping over and checking it out.
And lastly my little blog is 4!
I fully intended to make a little cake and celebrate, but then got side-tracked with the Beast and getting snowed in. Anyhow what a blooming achievement, To have survived 4 years. Anyone who has a blog knows its hard work, constantly learning, changing, diversifying and listening. It’s something I plan to write a little more about next week.
Blogging has brought my family and I so very much, new adventures, friends and a place to store the most wonderful memories and most of all happiness, every workday is a happy day.
It took a huge leap of faith to press publish the first time. A LOT of people judged me, rolled their eyes at me and said it was a fad. But hey I am doing something that makes me soooooo happy, fits around my family and fills my life with loveliness. Being a hairdresser is said to be the happiest profession, and as a hairdresser I always believed that, until I became a blogger!
There you have it! Another quiet week in the Christie house, hope you have a wonderful weekend whatever you are up too.
