I know its freezing cold but doesn’t the sunshine make everything look and feel better. Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a winter of wall-to-wall sunshine and frosty days?

It’s funny how the sun has such an effect on you, I actually bought some summer pumps a t-shirt and a blazer, whilst out shopping this week and then realised it’s too cold to wear them! But they are there waiting for warmer days and my little trip to Tuscany next month.

Talking of Tuscany I have managed yoga and swimming 3 times this week, I might even squeeze a swim in tomorrow as I am on a roll, summer is coming folks so its time to start preparing.

We spent last weekend catching up with some of our closest friends, it’s so wonderful to just chill and catch up. Friendship is so precious; sometimes we have to work at it, especially when our close friends are all over the country it takes some organising. But it’s always so worth it!

Watched

Marcella, omg it is going to be a fab series, I wasn’t bothered for watching it as the advert drove me mad. However I was gripped, but its all slightly disturbing. I just adore Anna Friel she is such an amazing actress.

I have probably watched a little too much football this week blooming FA cup, grrrr!  Although I was thrilled for Rochdale, especially being a local town and all. OMG what has happened to me, that I am discussing football scores. Honestly I am NOT the person I once was!

Read

I have just started reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine and you know what? So far I am not getting it at all. She seems like an ever so boring Bridget Jones without humour. I can’t say I am finding it engaging. However as everybody is raving about it I am hoping it is going to get better.

Heard

The news that the search for a Mark Warner Ambassador is on, we were so thrilled to be chosen last year and had the most wonderful time working with Mark Warner. Not everyone likes or agrees with the prospect of entering competitions and I get that. But for me it’s always been a challenge I have enjoyed and served me well, if you are thinking of giving it a shot then the best of luck. I can honestly say I am so so glad we entered last year and became part of the Mark Warner Family.

Wore

Like I said earlier I have purchased a few spring/summer bits this week, all-useless at the moment! I think the sun has done something to my brain. Because in reality all I want to do is keep warm, yet I can’t stop looking at spring/summer clothes.

I have been Cricuting again this week, I will slow down soon I am sure, but at the moment I have a looonnnnggggg list of things I want to try out with this. This week I made a paper cut tutorial, they are so easy to do you just have to ensure you follow a few simple steps. I plan to make a family paper cut this week, and have a cushion tutorial on the way.

I have also shared my chicken and leek bake over on the Belling Blog this week, honestly if comfort food is your thing then you have to try this. The only way I can describe it is that it’s like having a big comforting hug. I just adore comfort food on cold winters days and this is one of my faves.

So that’s me, another week has flown by! Have a lovely week whatever you are up to,

The sunshine is definitely good for the soul isn’t it Sarah, makes you feel so much better even if it is freezing. I totally forget Marcella was back on, thanks for the reminder. I would definitely say to stick with the Eleanor book, I wasn’t sure at first but having finished it I have to say it’s the best book I’ve ever read, it made me laugh and cry sometimes on the same page. I hope you are having a lovely weekend x

I love Eleanor Olimphant! I can relate to the loneliness in the story and how broken you can be and still look like you are living life like normal people would. #wotw

I originally didn’t read that book when it first came out because I just didn’t think I’d ‘get’ it, all the hype has kind of made me want to give it a go. Hope it turns into a good one even if it’s a slow burner. There is nothing like comfort food and that chicken and leek bake sounds yummy, I’m off to nick the recipe! Love your french top! Have a great week x

Sunny days and frost is a pretty combination – we have snow on the ground but blue skies today and it makes me less bothered about the cold even if I am getting tired of my winter wardrobe (probably because so little of it still fits me!) That chicken and leek bake looks delicious. So glad that being a Mark Warner ambassador was such an amazing opportunity for you. I’m rarely tempted to enter anything like this but the challenge of a competition is fun and if it’s something you’re interested in, it’s definitely worth giving it a try. #WotW
