Whoa, Christmas is creeping up on us so quickly. I am not at all prepared, but I am thinking that if I get organised with my work, then I can blitz it in a couple days. I am not sure if that is ambitious or downright stupid? My thoughts are it will get done one way or another.
Last weekend we nipped over to Clitheroe to Holmes Mill, I chatted about it a little a couple of weeks ago. It’s such a cool place to go for drinks, we ate this time too and the food is bar food is good.
However there was a huge mix up with our table, which lead to an odd situation where the staff stared at our table for ages rather than speak to us, or asking us to move. It was all rather odd. But after chatting to the manager it was quickly resolved with a change of table and glass of gin.
It wouldn’t put me off visiting again as I genuinely love the vibe and I suppose mix-ups do happen.
Both Christmas Trees are up at home and I love them, they are so different. Its great having 2 trees we have never done that before, the Christie house is now feeling festive.
I have also been over on the Laura Ashley blog chatting about my festive fireplace, I love that Toby managed to get himself a little cameo over at Laura Ashley too!
I had a lovely parcel arrive from Fantasie full of pretty lingerie. I am going to chat a little more about it next week but how pretty is this?
I have been busy putting the finishing touches to my gin Christmas crackers and making place cards for Christmas Day, I am loving my Cricut machine and these place cards are just so effective and simple to make. The mason jar I decorated was not so easy, I think I was a little ambitious with the pattern, it looks fab but drove me mad transferring it onto the jar.
Still reading “A Year Of Marvellous Ways.” I am falling asleep earlier at night at the moment so have read less, but I love this book it’s just the loveliest of stories and I am dying to see how it all evolves.
I have also been reading lots of blog posts and loved Caro’s gorgeous post from Bosinver Farm Cottage. Those colours are simply stunning, we have still not got to Cornwall, and this looks a great place to start.
Watched And Heard
In Wednesday my great friend Louise and I went to The Palace Theatre in Manchester to see Evita. I have wanted to see the show forever and it was wonderful, so emotional and captivating. If you love the theatre I would definitely recommend it. And oh my, the score, such wonderful voices. It moved me to tears. Well that’s a slight underestimation I was a blubbering mess. See what I thought here.
I am off to see Beautiful, The Carole King Story. The reviews are amazing so it promises to be fantastic. We also have Winter Wonderland on Monday night; Joe loved it last year and is so looking forward to taking a friend along.
I have a fab competition for one reader to win a Grit Atom Blue Stunt Scooter from Skates.co.uk, Joe got one of these for his birthday and loves it, I had no idea how cool scooters are thee days? He loves nothing more that a trip to the state park with his friends to make a YouTube video! No idea where he get that from cough, cough. And now that it’s cool to wear a crash helmet at the skate park I am happy that he is having fun and safe whilst practicing stunts.
Enter via the rafflecopter below and best of luck, what a great Christmas present? And I know this is the perfect present as I have a teens who loves his!
