My Weekly Round Up And Little Loves, And Spa Days

Hello and hoorah for the weekend, its been a funny week with my tooth still giving me grief and an awful cold. But watching X Factor in front of a roaring fire with a glass of wine will be just what the doctor ordered.

I am not the most sympathetic person when people are ill; I tend to tell the boys to just crack on when they are poorly. Unless of course its infectious. I suppose in my own way I don’t want them to become wallowers, you always feel better when you get on with it don’t you? And don’t even get me started of people putting poorly voices on! However the downfall to this approach is that when you are feeling under the weather there is no sympathy. No, just a good dose of tough love and eye rolling.

Watched

Liar, I am dying to see what happens next week, omg it is so tense isn’t it? This time of year is great for tv, I am also loving Cold Feet. This season has been fantastic I will be sad when it ends. Watching it makes me realise why I love Manchester so very much.

Heard

A little bit too much nastiness for my liking! A good friend of mine has taken a bit of a bashing on her blog and social media recently. And there has been so much bickering, it seems to be everywhere and I hate it. All I want to do is live in a bubble of happiness. And deal with life issues as and when they arise. Which they do! Life isn’t perfect is it?

But this need to put other people down, I just down get it. It makes me feel so sad that people need to do it! My mantra is people’s opinion of me is their problem and up to them to deal with. I will not be taking on anyone else’s negativity thank you very much. There is too much of that in the world. It is awful to watch from a distance and so blooming unnecessary.

Read

I am still reading Sweet Little Lies; it is good, not amazing, but an easy read. However I have a feeling it may just be about to get a whole lot better.

Wore

This gorgeous pink coat from Laura Ashley, I love the pastel shade and it’s so comfy. This time of year is wonderful all those cold frosty days, long family walks cosy coats and bobble hats. I just love it. I wore it last week when I went into Manchester with some gorgeous ladies for a spa at the Midland. I am going to chat more about that next week. But oh my, it was the loveliest day.

Made

A delicious meal of Aromatic Lamb Cutlet’s last night to celebrate curry week, omg it was AMAZING. It will certainly be added to my easy dinner party meal list, it was so easy to make. Looked great and went down very well. I try so hard to not give in to ordering takeaways, they have so much fat in them and lets face it can be pretty hit and miss. I love pottering in the kitchen of a Friday night with a glass of wine making a home made treat.

Ooh and these gorgeous poison toffee apples, I have never made toffee apples before and it’s actually quite easy. I was a bit nervous boiling sugar to 150 degree’s but it was easy to do and having a kitchen thermometer made all the difference.

Today I will be mainly chilling although I might try a swim as I haven’t been the gym for 2 weeks and feel awful as a result. Have a great week whatever you are up to.

Oh dear, hope you feel better soon. I think your attitude to other people’s opinions and gossip and the like is spot on but it’s hard when you see a friend getting hurt by it, isn’t it? Hope it blows over quickly. Loving that pink coat, gorgeous x Thanks for sharing with #WotW

Oh Sarah sounds a tough week with a cold and your tooth, hope you start to feel better soon and you get for your swim today. I must admit there does seem to be some negativity around at the moment and I hate all that. Most of the time I live in my own bubble and miss what is going on. Your spa day looked wonderful and looking forward to reading more about your day x

Your food photography has me in awe every week Sarah, those apples oh my they look bloody delicious. I try to avoid the negativity, it’s so silly. If I don’t like someone I simply don’t follow, read or watch them, makes for a much easier happier life in my opinion.
Sorry to hear you’ve had a rotten cold, it’s no fun especially when your tooth is still bothering you too, get well soon x

Oh those lamb cutlets look delicious – I feel hungry just looking at your photo. So sorry to hear that your friend has been getting a bashing online. It makes me so sad when people feel the need to put others down. I’m a big believer in the mantra that if you have nothing nice to say about someone, then don’t say anything at all. Spreading negativity is so unnecessary – it takes less energy just to click away and ignore things. Sorry to hear that you have a cold and toothache too – hope you feel better this week x #WotW

Wow, so many things I want to reply, ok firstly your food photography is beautiful.

That pink coat looks so cosy and stylish at the same time, I am sorry for your blogging friend, I really hate bullying in any form and that is essentially what it is.
