My Weekly Round Up, Little Loves And Joe’s Birthday

I didn’t share a round-up post last week. I just felt like I didn’t have the brain space, which is mad! It may be autumn fatigue and missing the sunshine

But hasn’t this week been so much better? More sunshine and hardly any rain hoorah! Ok it’s been chilly but I don’t mind that if the sun is shining and I can wrap up warm.

A bit of a cheat here as we have not yet been, but have booked to see the Snowman at Manchester. It is on at the Opera House Manchester, from Wednesday 8 November through to Sunday 12 November 2017. Arghhhh I might just be a tad excited. Especially with the big man not making an official appearance here this year I want to make Christmas as magical and festive as possible.

What better way than starting the festivities off with the snowman? I remember settling down to watch it on Christmas Eve as a child and it still gives me goose bumps to this day.

Its been Joe’s 12th Birthday this week so lots of happy birthdays and celebrating. I have hardly taken any photos but sometimes you just want to be in the moment and put the camera down don’t you? And as you can see I was not that successful getting photos with balloons, the little monkey had them the wrong way round. Wow I can’t believe our baby is 12 I know it’s cliché but where has time gone?

Yes, I am a bit late to the podcast party but have been listening to podcasts all week, to be specific cruise radio podcasts. And forgot how giddy I get about cruising. I now realise just how much we have missed it. I love thinking and talking about all things cruising over on Cruising With Kids. The thing I love about podcasts is you can get on with jobs as you listen, or potter in the kitchen. I love that!

I have just started reading Sweet Little Lies this week after finish the Keeper of Lost Things, which I loved, it was such an easy read. It’s been a struggle to get into Sweet Little Lies, but have read great things about it so will persevere.

Beautiful new underwear from Fantasie, I got to choose a few bit from the new range last week and they are so pretty. I wrote earlier this year that I aimed to buy loads of pretty matching underwear this year. As I had got into the habit of buying separates. It’s a little thing but having matching pretty sets makes me feel so much better. Yes, only I know, but it’s all about feeling good about yourself isn’t it?

A delicious Tuna Pasta Bake this week, its something I never make because I always felt it never felt like a proper meal, but I loved it this week and with sweet potato wedges, roasted carrots and garlic bread it was so tasty. And it makes the perfect easy midweek meal.
