The rain has been horrific this week hasn’t it? Thankfully there have been moments of sunshine, if not a little chilly. And the leaves have started to fall, so I can’t deny it any more autumn is here.
It was my birthday this week and have had the loveliest week celebrating with my lovely family and friends. I am one of those people who love birthdays, fuss and presents.
Chris bought me the best gift ever, I have been moaning about the lack of light for photography. It takes such a nosedive at this time of year and really affects the quality of photos. So my lovely hubby bought me a set of soft box lights. They are amazing and make such a difference on dull days, which at he moment is most days!
And Jack bought all his own present’s this year bless him, he was quite pleased with himself and rightly so as he had really thought about his purchases. He bought me a scratch map of the world so I can scratch off all the places I visit and a gold pineapple candle. I love that he really thought about his gifts and chose something I loved. He gets that from me I love getting people just the right gift.
My new Jo Loves, brush on perfume, it was a gift from Joe with a little help from Chris. I love Jo Malone but the new Jo Loves Pomelo is just incredible. I have wanted it for a while and this is new brush on version. How cool is that? It’s so easy to pop in your handbag and omg the smell is so amazing.
The Kingsman this week, I will be honest I had no idea what was going on through most of it! Chris and Jack were horrified I wasn’t feeling the love for it! Well, apart from Colin Firth of course!
It takes me sooooo long to read a book so am still on with The Keeper Of Lost Things and am loving it so much the characters are the loveliest. It is such easy reading.
Silence! After a manic summer it’s been fab to get back into a routine and get a bit of work done during the day. Oh and also have time to get to the gym, I have managed a yoga and spinning class and a swim this week. It feels so great to get back into it and after a summer eating like miss piggy it is much-needed.
This has to be the cruise blog that I have just launched with the lovely Lisa, Claire and Karen. We felt there was not much representation of families out there when it came to cruise advice. Being lovers of cruising we know how many questions present themselves. So Cruising With Kids was born. We are all so excited to be starting this new journey a thrilled we have finally launched as we have been working on it behind the scenes for months. We are overwhelmed at the support that we have been given from our family friends and the blogging community they are such a wonderful supportive bunch.
Chris and I are currently deciding which family cruise to book for next year arghhh so exited. We have a few ideas so just need to decide. The exciting thing is we are also accepting guest post cruise reviews from fellow bloggers so that it will be brimming full of family cruise advice.
The new Veuve Clicquot Rich Champagne, it is designed to inspire cocktails and mixology and recommended to be served over ice with pineapple, cucumber, peppers etc. I tried it with pineapple over ice and it was delicious. It is much sweeter that regular but a lovely light refreshing drink. And perfect for those that are fans of the dryness of champagne. Head over to 31 Dover to check it out
Today the sun is shining the boys are both off on adventures and Chris and I have a lovely night out planned with friends. Have a fab weekend whatever you are up too.
