My Weekly Round Up And Little Loves, A Chilled Week

It’s been a weird week, a bit chilled but then not! I suppose life has got in the way of blogging a little. It has officially been Joe’s first week off and all it has done is rain. Thankfully he has spent a few days with his Grandparents, which has given him a break. He also has a friend to stay, but rain and holidays do not go together at all do they!

I feel like I am taking a bit of a mini blog break, but so much is going on at home behind the scenes, all good. But you know when your brain is a little full? That’s how I am feeling at the moment. Like we are in a transitional phase in life and in my blog. And because of that I just find decisions and plans are impossible to make.

Once a few things align I will be full throttle ahead again. But sometimes a little reflection and down time is needed. And some things in life just can’t be rushed.

Having said that I have a very exciting couple of weeks ahead, next week I will be sharing what I got up to in Germany and taking over the Fly Baden instagram page. I loved Germany, visiting Europa-Park and the Black Forrest was the most wonderful experiences. Perfect for family trips, so keep an eye out for that.

I also have a wonderful little project next week, which I am beside myself with excitement about, so watch this space woohoo. I might be able to share a few sneaky peeks over on stories!

And we are starting to prepare for our Mark Warner trip in a couple of weeks. Arghhhh I am so excited. We are off to Lakitira and it looks so lovely. Check out the lovely Lucy’s post, the boys are going to love all the sports. And I can’t wait for my early morning walks with my camera.

As the rain poured down on Tuesday I decided the only thing to occupy Joe and his best friend Fin who was staying, was to bake. I found it a challenge; as for me it is all in the pretty decoration. Have you ever watched 2 11 year olds decorate cup cakes? I was itching to take over and make them pretty ha ha. But the boys did a great job, as they tasted delicious.

We went on an ever so exciting tour at the BBC at Media City on Manchester this week. It is so great there. I can’t wait to share a little more about it, but you really have to do the tour. Getting to see behind the scenes is so interesting. Joe loved the tour and some of the facts we found out and tricks of the trade are mind-blowing.

Last Sunday we head to the beach for a long walk, the surf was out, over a mile out! But we had a wonderful time getting there. Toby loved the freedom of the beach. And Joe spent ages looking for shells and creatures in the pools on the way to the sea . There is nothing more relaxing than the sound of the surf at the beach.

I gave up with the book I was struggling with and head over to Hayley’s blog for some recommendations and have gone for Jodi Picoult’s, Small Great Things and so far so good.

I have had no idea what to wear this week; it’s been like autumn. So I head to Next to buy a few bits. I just felt like I need a little cheering up with all this rubbish weather. I love this floral shirt it’s so pretty. It is light enough for those days when the weather can’t make its mind up. But am still hoping the hot weather comes back and I can wear my summer clothes.

Have a lovely week whatever you are up too?

Oh all that rain!!! It’s felt like autumn hasn’t it? I’ve worn jumpers and boots for most of the week and I know how you feel juggling blogging with the boys. I’ve been struggling with blogging because of lack of time but the ideas are slowly building up now. Hope all the behind the scenes stuff is going well though xx

I think a little downtime is a must as a blogger, I usually run with it until I burn out. When that happens I take a few days off and then repeat it all again it’s crazy ! Your holiday plans sound exciting, I love visiting places where there’s lots for the kids to do.

I love Media City in Manchester, never been on the tour but it sounds brilliant. The weather has been so weird for this time of year hasn’t it, I do like the coolness of it though. Hope you have a great week x

I agree with Angela and sometimes it’s nice to have a little down time from blogging. Especially when it’s the summer holidays and other things are happening. Relax and take it easy Sarah. The CBBC tour sounds really good, and I love the atmosphere at Media City. We stayed there a few years back when we had tickets to see a show being filmed. We always said we should go back and take the kids to the tour x
