My Weekly Round Up And Little Loves, An Emotional Week

Woohoo I have been meaning to join in with little loves for forever. But then write my round-up and forget. Today I remembered hoorah. It’s such a great way to pin down your week rather that rambling away. Which of course I am so good at ha ha.

This week as per Christie standards has been another mad one. With a trip to London last weekend and a mad catch up all week. We have had Football presentations, catching up with friends, waiting posts and editing photos like mad. I am off to Germany on Monday and haven’t even started to pack arghh. However today we off to a village country fair a couple of villages away. It’s a long walk but promises to be a fab day.

And then at some stage we need to clean, something we are getting less and less time to do. But I always remember the words of a lady that stopped Donna and I as we were pushing Jack and Owen in their prams 16 years ago W.E.E.P.S. She randomly stopped us and said just remember the dust can wait, these babies will grow so quickly. My god she wasn’t wrong. And although we love a clean and tidy house I have always remembered that moment. I can’t even remember where we were; just the moment thinking these tiny babies growing up was forever away. And now they have left school. And that has made for an emotional week.

My Weekly Round Up And Thankful,www.extraordinarychaos.com

This week Joe has his high school induction and has loved every moment. He even insisted on getting the school bus on his own. I didn’t want him to, wanted to cry at the thought of it. But we let him have his independence and go for it. And it was totally the right decision, as he loved it.

On Thursday night I attended the parents induction evening. It was soooooooo emotional as School played a presentation of all the photos from the day to Robbie Williams I love my life, along with some photos of the school year. There were pictures of Joe on his first day, and then one of Jack and all his best friends at pro, looking so handsome and grown up. Omg it just got me and I sat and cried through the whole thing. The other parents must have thought I was a total loon but it felt like Jack ending at school and Joe’s beginning.

We also went to see ELO in London last weekend. My Dad has been the biggest fan all my life, as a result my brothers and I are too as is Joe. Chris managed to get 5-priority ticket for the sell out tour a year ago. We would have loved to get more but struggled to get 5. And they were AMAZING if you haven’t heard of them they sing Mr Blue Sky. But I literally know every song. Funny enough my Dad and youngest brother had never been to a big concert, we had the best day, the concert was amazing. All my fave childhood songs with so many lovely memories and enjoying that with 3 generations was so special.

I am currently reading the Night Circus recommend by the lovely Hayley and love it. I always check Hayley’s blog out when looking for my next read and she has never let me down yet. My fave so far is The Caraval such a magical and enthralling read.

Hmmmm I have failed on this front this week. Just treading water and not having time to create or bake anything. I suppose one thing I have made is the most of is my time with my family, as I know I am off on an adventure next week.

This week has rained like mad here grrr so although not strictly wore I have been glued to my ever so pretty Kate Spade brolly from Rooi.com. I have always wanted a brolly like this. And have been thankful for something a bit sturdier in the wind and rain this week. I could spend a fortune at Rooi and omg the new Kate Spade diaries are divine. If you fancy having a peek I have discount code for my readers, which is valid on full price items. Just put 20CHAOS in at the checkout for 20% discount at the checkout.

I have also been preparing my nails for next week. I usually have to wear glittery nail polish because my toe nails are quite ridged. This means glossy polished look awful. However I have been trying out this Leighton Denny Expert Nails base coat filler and omg it works. I now have glossy red nails and love them. Glittery nails are pretty but it’s so fab to have glossy nails.

Oh gosh, I’d be a weeping mess at that too! It’s a big change for all of you and a sign that they are growing up, it all comes round so fast doesn’t it? My eldest only has two years left at primary school and I still feel like she’s just started reception!
    Enjoy Germany! xx

How come I’ve never been to Germany?! Sounds like a great trip up your sleeve – look forward to reading all about it. Your boys are growing up aren’t they? My middle one will be going to Prom next year and I’m already dreading Year 11 which is looming – she’s a feisty one who hates school/learning and is extremely fussy about her clothing. Wish me luck! Glad you youngest enjoyed his induction, not long to go now. All those ‘lasts’ at primary school are tough aren’t they? x
