My Weekly Round Up And Thankful

What You Will Find Here

  • I am feeling so thankful this week, what a week. You know one those weeks that if we had crammed it all into a month, it would have felt like we had, had the busiest month ever. But in true Christie tradition we like to pack it in. And we most certainly have this last week.
    • On Monday morning I found out I have been shortlisted as a finalist in the FAMILY AND LIFESTYLE category.
      • On Tuesday I head over the Thessaloniki on mainland Greece to check out the new Sani Dunes resort and a million wows, it is just breathtaking.
      • Jack and Joe have also had a busy week.
        • And now you would think we would have our feet up and watching Saturday kitchen?

I am feeling so thankful this week, what a week. You know one those weeks that if we had crammed it all into a month, it would have felt like we had, had the busiest month ever. But in true Christie tradition we like to pack it in. And we most certainly have this last week.

We started last weekend with a sponsored pub walk. I think we did 12 miles in all. We were so lucky with the incredible weather. And with a nice cold glass of wine at every pub along the way it felt more of a fun day out with great friends than a charity event.

The atmosphere was incredible and for such a great cause (our local hospice) having had some very close friends touched by cancer in the last year it sort of feels the least you can do.

On Monday morning I found out I have been shortlisted as a finalist in the FAMILY AND LIFESTYLE category.

Arghhhh I am over the moon, I am up against such a lovely bunch of bloggers. Honestly I am happy with getting to the finals it feels such an achievement. It all about the votes now and what will be will be.

On Tuesday I head over the Thessaloniki on mainland Greece to check out the new Sani Dunes resort and a million wows, it is just breathtaking.

Karen and I had such an amazing trip, which I cant wait to share. But if you are looking for a perfect family holiday check Sani Dunes out.

Jack and Joe have also had a busy week.

Joe has been away with school for an outward-bound week. Now when you live with Joe this is a little concerning, as he literally has no fear. However this seems to have served him well this last week as he wholeheartedly immersed himself in rock climbing, sailing and gorge walking. He arrived home yesterday very tired but happy having had so much fun with all of his friends.

Jack had his last 2 exams this week and left school. I know my baby has left school weeps. Last night he attended his prom and looked so blooming handsome in his suit. He had the best night with all of his friends and is currently in bed recovering.

And now you would think we would have our feet up and watching Saturday kitchen?

Well, you are wrong! We are on our way to London to see ELO.  It will only be a flying visit, but I have loved them since I was little so I CANT WAIT.

Yes, so a quite week around here ha ha, but in all honestly we don’t do quiet in our crazy family. Next week I am looking forward to a quieter week, but still with a bit going on and LOADS of catching up. And the week after, well, lets just say that will be another mad one.

Have a lovely weekend whatever you are up to?

What a week! I saw your beautiful trip on your Instastories, it looked wonderful, so pleased you enjoyed yourself. Well done on being a finalist, fingers crossed for you! Oh bless, he does look great in his suit, glad he had fun and Joe enjoyed his trip. It just wouldn’t be normal for you if you had a quiet week, would it?! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x

What a week Sarah, and one that you will no doubt remember for a long long time. Loved seeing Jack with all his friends on prom night, and huge congratulations on your nomination. You work so hard and deserve to win that award. And of course it goes without saying that I have loved following you this week on your trip to Sani. My Mum was very jealous that you went to watch ELO as she loves them too. Hope you have a calmer week Sarah x
