My Weekly Round Up And Preparation

Happy April 1st! Oh my cliché I know, but this year is flying. And this week seems to have been all about preparation. I have been on so many shopping trips trying to prepare for our holiday. And buying bits and pieces  for blog posts.

You know when you have what seems like millions of things going around in your mind, a huge list that just keeps growing, not shrinking. But I know that in a couple of weeks time it will be all done and organised and I will be chilling with a cocktail. That cocktail is really keeping me going at the moment ha ha.

My Weekly Round Up And Preparation

We have left this weekend free to give us a bit of time to organise and prepare although the Christie boys are all of out to see a football match, I am not sure quite how helpful that really is? Although there is an argument for being able to get more done when they are out-of-the-way.

So with that lot off gallivanting I plan to do a bit of baking for some lovely food posts I have planned.

I feel so chilled when I have time to bake without rushing, it’s so therapeutic. It’s the chaos and mess in the kitchen and knowing there will be a great result in the end that is so rewarding. Being up to my elbows in flour really is one of my happy places.

I also shared a fab and easy pizza recipe this week.

Pizza nights have been a regular feature of our weekends lately in the quest to stop the boys asking for takeaways. I have found it encourages them into the kitchen to help out a little. It’s so important for them to be able cook for themselves should they need too. And learn a little independence. Having some basic cooking skills goes a long way. Chris is a great cook so hopefully it is in the blood.

I have also had a little fun taking pictures this week, as I do love a flat lay and have spent quite some time over them this week.

With lots of lovely clothes and stationery to play with. Sometimes a little inspiration and a few pretty things can keep me happy for ages. I really must have been a magpie in a former life.

My Weekly Round Up And Preparation

This fab little stationery bundle came from Rooi, I am loving the I am very busy tape and thinking I may need to stick it on my forehead for a few days! Rooi are running a fab competition soon to win some gorgeous Kate Spade goodies so keep an eye out over on my Instagram page for a link to that. And once the comp is live I will pop it here too.

If you are loving spring watch out for my insta stories. Every day we seem to be getting more are more new lamb neighbours. OMG they are ADORABLE I can’t stop sharing them. I love how brave they are when they are so new and happily come right up to the wall to have a peek at you. And more importantly try to work out what on earth the black bear is! Who I have to say is so unimpressed by sheep he barely looks at them. Shame I can’t say the same for the farmers chickens!

Have a fab weekend whatever you are up too! And I hope the sun shines, it a bit hit and miss at the moment but we can hope.

The weather is improving so much and the lambs are so so cute. We popped to Hesketh a few weeks ago and they had such cute little lambs there. I can’t wait to see all your holiday pics!! 🙂

I have been loving your lamb shots Sarah, and it must be so lovely to watch them getting bigger each week. Katie would be very jealous of that washi tape, I think she has about 20 rolls and I am always finding it in various places around the house. I know what you mean about running around like a headless chicken, but as my husband always says….. it all gets done in the end. Hope you have a chilled weekend and start to the holidays before heading for the sun !!!!! You will have an amazing time xx

I love that stationery bundle. Hope you manage to get all the jobs that are buzzing around in your head done without too much stress. Glad the thought of the cocktail is helping to keep you going. That pizza looks delicious – home made pizza is the best 🙂

Yes, you do seem to have a lot to do but the reward of a sneaky cocktail in the sunshine is worth the effort! I think your stationery bundle is beautiful, I’m loving the tape!
