A Quick Catch Up, My Weekly Round Up

5th November 2016 by SarahJChristie 5 Comments

Last weekend we headed into Manchester to watch Burnley play Man united

I do not go on all the matches like the Christie boys, but I have to say it was one of those edge of your seat matches.  And was so funny to watch the boys sitting on their hands and biting their tongue all the way through the match, as our tickets were in the Manchester United side.

I wouldn’t go on every match. But I do enjoy the occasional match, just for the pure joy of sharing the boy’s passion with them. And check out this amazing sculpture I snapped on the way to the stadium, much to the boys embarrassment as I stood amongst football fans taking photos.

It has been all about Cameron Lodges this week; we didn’t arrive home until Wednesday, and up until then have had a half term crammed with fun activities. I can honestly say Joe will go back to School having had a fun break; we have really packed it in.

So Thursday had to be a little about catching up with the boring stuff, and getting the house straight and all that holiday washing done grrr. Joe however had an invite to his besties and went off for a sleep over. Then spent last night at his Grandparents. We will have a tired boy today; I am thinking a fairly early night after the football match and another jam-packed day.

This week was my 4 week giniversary

I know 4 weeks since I started loving gin ha ha. And the lovely people at 31Dover sent me lovely gift to celebrate. Silent Pool Gin is the first gin I ever tried, so they sent me a gorgeous gift-wrapped bottle to celebrate. If you have a gin lover as a friend this is a fantastic way to send a gin gift, (they do have other wines and sprits)

Silent pool is so light and fresh almost dainty in taste I had to look up what makes up this gorgeous light taste and was so surprised to find it was lavender, chamomile, citrus,  and honey. This is different to all the gins I have tried so far, nowhere near as fruity but it is so fresh. I love it. And check out that bottle, omg it is a work of art.

This week I am off to London for a travel event, possibly one of my fave events of the year, its like being in a travel bubble for a couple of days. I can’t wait eeek, Have a lovely week, and catch up next week.

You really did pack it all in, didn’t you? Sounds absolutely brilliant! I do like the sound of that gin, too, must add that one to my Christmas list 🙂 Thanks for sharing with #WotW

Sounds as if you have had a fantastic week Sarah. The gin looks amazing, and it is my mission to try some more different gins as I tend to stick to the same ones. Enjoy WTM, sounds like it will be lots of fun x

Wow you have had a busy week! I love that you had a ‘giniversary’! I must admit I still haven’t discovered the finer points of gin. To me it tastes of medicine, but I haven’t tried any of the finer ones. #WotW

Hi Sarah, lovely photos, as ever and love that chain link sculpture. Different. It does sound as if you had a fun-filled half term and will need the rest of the term to recharge. I hope the travel event is fun… I really wish I enjoyed alcohol, I’d love to be able to sit and genuinely enjoy a posh drink, but I just don’t enjoy the taste of it.

    xx
