House Of Fraser Summer Party Wish List

11th July 2016 by SarahJChristie 6 Comments

It’s that time of year, although you would not think it looking out of the window. But it is and should be the time of the odd summer party, wedding, day at the races and for me and many other bloggers the MAD blogging awards.

With this in mind it is time to plan and prepare those ever-important outfits. Something that makes you feel fab and confident. But it’s so hard isn’t it? I fell in love with a beige dress a couple of weeks ago and though wow, this is the dress for the MADS, I had a spare day so decided to take Joe to Manchester for lunch and try on the dress.

I found the dress easy enough, but it looked blooming awful on, not my colour at all. I felt so deflated, tried on a few dresses. But Joe is not the most supportive shopping partner. I tried one blue flowery dress on, I quite liked it, came out of the changing room to show him. Yes, I know, big mistake to ask a ten-year old! He burst out laughing and said it makes you look silly.

In hindsight, I am a bit of jeans and blouse kinda gal. I don’t wear dresses that often. But he put me right off. Note to self; don’t ask Joe’s opinion on fashion ever again. He lives in trackies and converse, what was I thinking.

Anyhow, I cheered myself up in the Nespresso boutique and bought lots of lovely coffee, oh and cake from the food hall. Seriously I can’t walk though without buying cake it is impossible.

And that is why shopping on-line is a godsend; I came home and shopped alone. Which is what I should have done in the first place. I found this gorgeous Biba Frill Dress on the House of Fraser website, blue is much more my colour and I love it.  It arrived within 2 days all nicely wrapped and now is hanging in my wardrobe waiting for the MADS.

I just need to order shoes and accessories to match, I am loving these gorgeous Ravel Cleveland Heeled Sandals, Swarovski Slake Bracelet and Furla Bolero Blue Chain Crossbody Bag so may need to put in a cheeky order. Oh and what did Joe think of the dress? He said I looked like a blue Sponge Bob Square Pants! But hey he’s 10 what does he know ha ha.
