I have been wanting to write this post for a while, share things I am loving lately, not sponsored stuff, but things I have picked up along the way that I love or have found useful. It’s all a bit random, but that’s life isn’t it? Sometimes it’s the simple things that you stumble upon that can make little differences. Sometimes just because you love them, and sometimes because they are so useful.
Today I am going to share my random mix of loveliness and usefulness. And a few things I am loving lately.
Firstly is it just me that has gone a bit shopper crazy? I am always on the look out for cute shoppers. I blame the carrier bag tax, I never had this odd obsession before. But now when I shop I take with me my little but growing collection of beautiful shoppers.
I have so many lovely ones, special edition ones, I kid you not? And my last little find from Coconut Grass really makes me smile. I must say I have seen quite few people smile when they read it too.
Since I have been working from home I am also loving buying fresh flowers every week. I have always bought flowers but now I get to look at them as I work, I appreciate them so much more. Can you believe I only learnt how to keep tulips alive recently. I used to just put flowers in a vase of water and bin them when they wilted.
And tulips don’t last long like that, do they? Now I know I can keep tulips alive for at least a week I am so enjoying buying them.
Talking of flowers I made an amazing little discovery last week, Asda sell Venus Fly Traps. Seriously, Joe was a little embarrassed, I was so giddy. Last year I went everywhere looking for them and couldn’t find them anywhere.
Living in the country is just the best thing ever, apart from the flies. We are sounded by farms which means when you open your kitchen doors in the summer you get flies, and I HATE flies. They actually make me a little stir crazy, Chris has come home from work on many occasions, to find me stood with the hoover trying the vac them up. Toby even leaves the room when I get the fly squatter out now.
However Venus Fly Traps do work, so I bought 3, now they aren’t the prettiest of plants are they? So I have put them in tea cups to try to make them look prettier. They are earning their keep already thank goodness. All I want to have my doors and windows open on a hot day without the fear of blooming flies getting in.
Another thing I have discovered lately is Younique 3D Fiber Lashes. My friend Adam sells them over on his FB page The Lash Lad. I kept seeing loads of people saying they were great. But never tried them as I can’t stand it when eyelashes look clumpy if you get what I mean? Also I get itchy eyes.
But I have the shortest eye lashes ever! Seriously they are almost not there, so I decided to trial it for a week and hoorah I have eye lashes, and they are not itchy or clumpy. I love 3d lashes I can’t believe the difference they make. It always bothered me that my eyelashes were so short and it makes such a huge difference.
And lastly a nice bottle of pink fizz, Chris bought a few bottles of this Crémant de Bourgogne in France and it is my favourite pink fizz ever. It is so light and easy to drink, the only problem is I have run out as we only got a few bottles arghhh. So I need to go to France now to get some more. But seriously if you like pink fizz and see this on your travels get it! It is delicious.
So thats it my random list of loveliness, have a lovely week and lets hope for a little sunshine x
