A Post Card From Treigny

1st June 2016 by SarahJChristie

Today has been an action packed day; we were so glad to enjoy a break in the rain, hoorah. We started the day saying goodbye to the wonderful Linda and Toby behind and move on to our next hotel. We had the best time staying as guests in their B&B we loved staying with them.

Another day also saw another Chateau, Chateau De Ratilly in Treigny is the stuff of dreams and has been in the same family for generations. We enjoyed a wonderful tour by Claire one of the owners, I will be honest if I inherited a Chateau such as this I would be quite greedy and want to keep it all to myself. But you can just see the passion the family has for the Chateau, which makes the tour so much more interesting.

We also spent some time swinging in the trees at Parc d’adventure I can’t wait to share all of our photos but let me tell you? If you love tree trekking, these tree top trails will most certainly put you to the test, they are the highest, fastest zip wires I have ever experienced.

We had so much fun, the boys loved every minute and it really put my resolve to keep up with the boys to the test. But I did it.

We arrived at the Hotel Des Grands Chenes after an action packed day, it is so very beautiful and like Domaine Des Varenne is the stuff of chocolate box adverts. We were warmly welcomed by Gwendoline who showed us to our cottage in the stunning grounds, before heading out to dinner.

Now I am sat chilling in the beautiful main hall with a glass of wine, Chris and the boys all engrossed in their IPads, but after an action packed day we are content and chilled and silence is golden.
