My Sunday Photo, Fishing At Brompton Lakes

Share

Here we are chilling at Brompton Lakes and having a wonderful family break.  Joe is in his element fishing. He was so excited when he found about the fishing lake. He spent ages with Chris searching for a fishing kit and organising his licence. I must say, hoorah for fishing as I think it is possibly the longest Joe has ever been quiet ha ha.

I am missing Jack as he made the decision to stay at his Grandmas. He did have a football tournament, however, due to a broken ankle that is not possible. But he is happy being pampered.

It is wonderful watching Chris and Joe fishing together, chatting over tactics and celebrating each catch before they release the fish into the lake.

Just this morning one of our lovely lodge neighbours popped in for my email address,  she had  captured this gorgeous shot of Chris and Joe putting the world to rights as they fish.

That is what breaks like these are all about. Family time, no rushing, just spending time together, chatting and laughing. Weekends like this are what life is all about.

  1. You can just sense the peace and tranquillity from looking at these pictures Sarah. What a lovely activity for them to do together, and I wonder whether they will continue to fish when you get back home x

  3. All fathers and sons should go fishing together, even if it’s just once. I was struck by the over-the-shoulder shot of your son, the clouds reflecting in the water. Looking at the comments, I’m not the only one.
