At the weekend I got the opportunity to enjoy a girls trip to London, and a little luxury at the M by Montcalm, Shoreditch.

London is one of my favourite places; there is nothing more exciting that getting on the train in the morning and knowing you will see the sunset in London. Every-time I visit I discover something new and enjoy a different experience.

I was traveling to London to meet up with the lovely Caro and Amy for a very exciting event, we had decided to make a weekend of it, and booked in at the M by Montcalm.

Located in trendy Shoreditch it is only steps from Old Street Station and a huge choice of bars and restaurants. The M has everything and more that you would want from a London Hotel.

From the minute you see the building reaching up to the sky, you know the M is going to be special. I was torn between rushing inside and standing outside and marvelling at the architecture that just stands out and demands to be admired. You know when a building is like this on the outside, the inside is going to blow you away and it did.

The reception is understated yet beautiful and so very cool, with smart tables, a beautiful bar and lots of space to sit chill and take in the atmosphere. What instantly struck me was the attention to detail, the stunning lights and floral displays using all of my favourite plants and flowers.

Despite the hotel being super cool, sleek and modern the team at the M By Montcalm Shoreditch are the most incredibly warm people.

Sanjeev checked us into our room and he was so professional yet so chatty, helpful and friendly.

And as we made our way through the hotel to our room all of the team took time to say hi, smile, or open a door for us. We hadn’t even arrived in our room yet already the Montcalm experience first impression was wonderful.

Our room was sleek and stylish and had lots of features including air conditioning, huge TV/media system which allowed you to stream music and operate mood lighting plus much more all controlled from smart panels situated around the room, if you are into tech it really is the stuff of dreams.

We had booked a mini suite which was very spacious and had been arranged to accommodate the three of us, we were welcomed with sweet snacks, fruit, plenty of water, up to date magazines, a Nespresso machine, Hermes toiletries and amenity packs covering almost anything we may have forgotten.

After a little mooch around the West End we retired back to the hotel to enjoy drinks in the Sky Bar which is available for club room guests to enjoy.  Offering fantastic views over London, cocktails and a snack menu throughout the day, and complimentary light breakfast in the mornings.

Adam and the team were super friendly and the whole atmosphere in the Sky Bar is chilled, the sort of stylish laid back space you feel so content you really don’t want to leave.

For dinner we dined at the Urban Coterie and wow, the food was incredible.

The service fantastic the vibe so cool.  With every delicious course I thought this can’t get any better, but oh my, it did, and the dessert was incredible.

The Team were so efficient yet friendly, our glasses were never empty, our waitress Ermira seemed to have eagle eyes and was there to refill water and offer drinks before they were empty. The spacing between courses was timed perfectly giving us time to enjoy our meals and chat without once feeling rushed.

The next morning after a satisfying breakfast, I would like to say healthy but the croissants and pastries smelt far to good, and tasted even better. Anyhow I decided to enjoy them and then head to the spa to work them off.

The spa and The M by Montcalm Shoreditch is breathtaking.

Nestled in the lower floors as soon as the lift opens it is like arriving into the most luxurious cocoon, with a beautifully designed pool, spa, steams rooms, gym, dance studio and treatment rooms.

The M Spa is the perfect place for relaxation or working off a hearty breakfast. And with a built-in spa the pool is not only a great size for an inner city pool it offers quite a workout.

In short the M by Montcalm at Shoreditch is a stunning hotel, that during our visit got everything right.  With a wonderful team and stunning environment in a great location, it really is the sort of hotel you would be happy hanging out all day. And is the perfect hotel for a luxurious break in London. Check out what the lovely Amy and Caro thought too.

Oh wow – what a fantastic place for a girls’ weekend in London. I’ve been to the Marble Arch Montcalm for afternoon tea (which was wonderful) but hadn’t realised there was one out in Shoreditch too. Very funky, and cocktails/spa sound the perfect combination to me. I think I need a holiday in my own city! Thanks for linking up to #citytripping
